(Minghui.org) Following the incident in which people from over 300 households in Zhouguantun Village, Hebei Province put their thumbprints on a petition letter to demand the release of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Xiangxing, a similar case took place in Yichun, Heilongjiang Province. Fifteen thousand people signed and placed their thumbprints on a petition letter prepared by Ms. Qin Rongqian, demanding justice for her Falun Gong practitioner father who had died. A few days earlier, another similar case took place in Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province, where more than 200 villagers stepped forward to demand justice for Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Zhengyu.

More than 200 villagers sign and place their thumbprints on a petition letter to call for the rescue of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Zhengyu.

Tangyuan County Police officers arrested Mr. Wang Zhengyu on May 10, 2012 and held him in a detention center. More than 40 days have passed. During that time, Mr. Wang's wife Ms. Bai Guiqin and their relatives went to the police department many times to demand his release, but deputy political head Zhou Jinze and Domestic Security Division head Yu Baojun threw them out. Yu Baojun also threatened Ms. Bai that if she came again, he would arrest her. Yu Baojun and others are collecting so-called evidence, in an attempt to escalate the persecution of Mr. Wang Zhengyu.

Ms. Bai returned to their village and told villagers that her husband hadn't violated any law or regulation, and his freedom of belief is protected by China's Constitution. She appealed to the villagers to help rescue her husband. More than 200 villagers then signed or put their thumbprints on the petition letter that Ms. Bai had prepared, demanding that police immediately release Mr. Wang Zhengyu.

Mr. Wang Zhengyu was once a teacher in Baoshan Village, Tangyuan County. He conducted himself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and worked diligently and conscientiously. He is greatly appreciated by his students, their parents and villagers.

More and more Chinese people have learned the facts about Falun Gong, and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution policy has become more and more unpopular. People in some areas are even stepping forward to stop the CCP's police from arresting Falun Gong practitioners. For example:

Officers from the Dingzhou City Domestic Security Division and Yangjiazhuang Township Police Station in Hebei Province attempted to arrest Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jia Zhanmin in Dawali Village around 1:00 p.m. on June 21, 2012. Their attempt was unsuccessful due to Mr. Jia's family and the villagers' strong resistance.

Another similar case took place in Zhengding County, Hebei Province. More than 20 officers from the county's 610 Office attempted to arrest Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Lankui in Anfeng Village, Xipingle Town around 6:00 a.m. on June 1, 2012. The police were met with strong resistance from Mr. Li's family and villagers. More and more people gathered, surrounded the police and reasoned with them. In the end, the police were not able to arrest Mr. Li.
