(Minghui.org) We are practitioners in a Fa-study group in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. During the past several years, all of us have gone out to talk to people about Falun Dafa. We go every day, whatever the season and regardless of the weather. We've met so many people who, after learning the truth, have been rewarded with good fortune upon quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. The following are three accounts of our truth clarifying efforts that we would like to share with everyone.
A Woman Who Was Mute for Many Years Gains Speech after Learning the Truth
In May of 2007, my spouse and I went out to tell people the truth about Falun Dafa. We met a women in her 50s on a road in Mianyang. She was standing under a tree, holding a plastic box in her hand as if she was waiting for someone. I went up to her and told her about Falun Dafa after greeting her. She listened very carefully and nodded from time to time but said nothing. I asked her, "Did you understand what I just said?" She nodded and pointed to her mouth with her hand, then she waved her hand, indicating that she couldn't speak. I pointed at her ears. She smiled and nodded. When my spouse said that she could hear but was unable to speak, the woman nodded.
I told myself that as long as the woman could hear, I would continue to clarify the truth to her. I told her of the changes in the cosmos and the self-protection available through abiding by the heavenly principles and by quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I asked the woman whether she had ever joined the CCP and its affiliated organizations. She kept nodding her head. Then I asked her again solemnly, “Are you a member of the CCP, Youth League, or Young Pioneers?” She affirmed by nodding. Her lips were moving but she was unable to make a sound. I then asked her what her name was. At that point, she raised her head and then suddenly lowered her head. Then, with great effort, she made a sound. I told her, “Yes, I got it. Is your name Wang?” She smiled. Then I gave her a pseudonym and helped her to declare that she was quitting the CCP with this pseudonym. I said to her, “Your predestined relationship is indeed strong. If you recite 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' often in your mind, this will bring you good fortune.” She then moved her lips again but was unable to make any sound. I wished her well and departed.
She was still standing there looking in our direction as we walked away. After we walked a few meters, suddenly I heard someone shout, "Falun Dafa is good!” I turned around to see who had called out these words. It was this woman! We hurried back to her and held her hand. She was so happy that her eyes were filled with tears. I wished her well once again and told her, “As long as you believe in Dafa, Dafa will manifest miracles. You can thank our Master!” This lady, who was unable to speak for so many years, spoke the most important sentence of her life! Actually, she was standing there waiting for us to tell her about the truth about Falun Dafa. It's our Master who saved her.
An Old Lady in Her 80s Started Cultivation after Knowing the Truth
In 2005, we went back to our hometown to visit an old acquaintance, Madam Wang, who is in her 80s. She is a doctor who is pretty popular locally. She studied medicine in Shanghai when she was young. Everyone in our family was once her patient. Madam Wang was very happy to see us. She was aware that all of our old illnesses were resolved after we started practicing Falun Dafa and that we were now very healthy. She said, "The diseases that you had in the past, such as heart disease, arthritis, cervical and lumbar spine hyperplasia, chronic pharyngitis, as well as gastroenterology and insomnia, are very difficult to cure completely." We told her the facts about Falun Dafa. She said, "Falun Dafa is now persecuted and oppressed in China for no reason. Isn't this the result of the Cultural Revolution? Such a good qigong practice. People want to practice, how can it be stopped?" She eagerly wanted to learn to practice and said, "Only after you teach me how to practice can you leave."
Later we gave her copies of Zhuan Falun and The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa, the practice audio tapes, and a newly purchased tape recorder. She studied every movement and step with great concentration and studied the Fa very hard. After a few days, we went back to visit her. She told us very excitedly, "The other night when I studied the Fa, I was afraid that my daughter wouldn't allow me to study, so I turned the lights off and read the Fa by the window light." She is an old woman in her 80s and reading by such dim light was difficult. However, as she read, it was as if someone was holding a flashlight for her. It was very strange! The row of words that she was reading glowed and sent out light. Whenever she came to a new row, that row would glow and send out light. Also, the words were big, bright, and very easy to read. She said, "This is not an ordinary book! This is a truly precious and valuable book."
Two years later we went back to visit her again and she told us of several other happy events. One night she went upstairs to enjoy the epiphyllums in the garden on the roof of the building where her apartment is located. When she went downstairs, she missed a step and fell down the staircase. She slipped down seven steps. Her daughter was very worried, but it was strange—the doctor didn't feel any pain. She slowly got up on her feet. Indeed, she was not injured at all except for a little scratch at the corner of her forehead that only required a simple treatment.
The whole family found this very strange. About ten years ago, her father fell due to a wet floor and broke his lumbar vertebrae. He required extensive hospital treatment for more than half a year, but still couldn't recover. A few years later he died. Comparing these two incidents, her family thought that this was so incredible. Her oldest daughter, who worked as a government official in another city, went back to visit her mother. After she learned of the incident she said, "Such a good qigong! I will also start to practice." She then took all the Dafa books and exercise audiotapes home with her. She also said, "Ask those Falun Dafa practitioners for more copies." We then gave her mother another set of the books and audiotapes.
Ms. Wang used to have a small, black, hard tumor on the side of her forehead. Her youngest daughter is also a doctor. She wanted to take her mother to the hospital to get laser treatment to have this tumor removed. However, because she was very busy she never had the procedure done. When she remembered this and went to see her mother, she saw that the tumor was already gone. Her forehead was flat and even the black color had faded. Ms. Wang had cataract surgery, but the result wasn't very good. She still couldn't see clearly. After she began to practice Falun Dafa, her eyesight got better and she could see very well. She was able to read Zhuan Falun easily and even began to quilt again. She said emotionally, "Such a good qigong, why does the evil Party forbid people from practicing it? Does the evil Party not want people to have good health?" Among her sons-in-law, one is the leader at a college, and the other is a manager of a company. She helped one of them quit the Party organizations by clarifying the truth to him. Now this lady is in her 90s. She practices every day and both her body and mind are in a very good state.
Promoting Shen Yun
Once we talked about Falun Dafa to a meat processing factory employee in Mianyang. After he understood the truth, he quit the affiliated organizations of the evil CCP. We then gave him a Shen Yun DVD. We told him that this was a show of world class caliber and exemplified the traditional culture of pure kindness and beauty. We also told him to share the DVD with friends and relatives. Later when we met again, he happily told us, "The Shen Yun Show is so wonderful!" He has shared this DVD with 12 families among his relatives. All of them liked it. He also wanted to bring it back to his hometown during the Chinese New Year.
Later we didn't see him for a long time. Someone else is now working in the booth where he used to work. One Sunday I finally met up with him. He was very happy to tell me that he was hired by a government agency, which offered him a good job and a good salary. He said, "It's really like what you said—there will be good rewards by sharing the Shen Yun DVD."
All these years, no matter what season it is and no matter what the weather is, the fellow practitioners of our Fa-study group walk on the path of telling people the truth about Falun Dafa, face to face, every day. Master has already made the arrangements and preparations. "Cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the master." (Zhuan Falun). What we do is just walk and speak out. We have talked to tens of thousands of people about Falun Dafa, and over 7,000 of them have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
When we talk to people about the truth of Falun Dafa, we have been mocked and cursed, but we never cared too much about it. There were also people who wanted to defame us and report us to the authorities. There were those who stalked us. There were policemen who threatened us. However, under Master's protection, there was never any danger. We looked inside for the reasons we were harassed. In some cases, we didn't clarify the truth thoroughly enough. In other cases, we missed the opportunity because we didn't pay enough attention. We still have a great distance to go to meet all the requirements Master has for us. For example, we do not attend group Fa-study as often as we should and when studying the Fa, we do not concentrate enough. Also, our cultivation isn't solid enough. There was a big loophole during one period of time. And we still have human hearts and lots of attachments that are to be removed. Every day I say to Master in front of his photo, “Master, you have given us so much, there is nothing that we can give back except for doing the three things well and continuing to walk our predestined paths.”
