(Minghui.org) On August 16, 2011, Ms. Zhu Chunjun, from Tianmenxiang Village, Fangzheng County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested by the local police for practicing Falun Gong. She was sentenced to 6 years in prison on November 3, 2011. When her family was informed, it was already past the deadline for filing an appeal.
Ms. Zhu Chunjun's daughter, who lives in Japan, calls upon Japanese society for help. On May 17, 2012, Ms. Zhu's daughter submitted a petition to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on which Japanese citizens and 60 county council members in Gifuken County signed their names. The council members expressed support for the peaceful resistance of Falun Gong, and urged the Japanese government to take action to rescue Ms. Zhu.
A local newspaper in Gifuken County covered the story.
