Additional Persecution News from China – June 22, 2012 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In the report, six Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xue Bin Arrested

Mr. Xue Bin from Qingshui Town, Dawa County, Panjin City was arrested by several police officers aided by local village cadres on the evening of June 19, 2012.

2. [Wafangdian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yin Hongmei Arrested

Ms. Yin Hongmei was arrested on June 13, 2012 and held in the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

3. [Ningan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guo Xiuqin, Ms. Wu Xiuqing and Ms. Chen Guifang Arrested

Ms. Guo Xiuqin, 53, Ms. Wu Xiuqin, 74, and Ms. Chen Guifang, 73 are from Ningan City, Mudanjaing, Heilongjiang Province. They were followed and arrested by plainclothes officers from the Domestic Security Division for explaining the facts about Falun Gong on the morning of June 12, 2012. Their homes were ransacked and Falun Gong books and the photos of Falun Gong's founder were confiscated. Ms. Wu and Ms. Chen were released that same afternoon. Ms. Guo was held in the Ningan City Detention Center for a day and was released the next day.

4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Rongjie and Six Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Rongjie, Ms. Qu Yanyan, Ms. Zhang Shouxian, Ms. Zhao Shoushan and Ms. Quhui from Longfeng District, Daqing City went out to explain facts about Falun Gong on the morning of June 20, 2012. They were arrested on their way back. Mr. Ma Xiquan and his wife Ms. Wang Yuhong were also arrested at the same time.

Ms. Wang Yuhong and Ms. Zhang Shoushan were released the same afternoon. Ms. Zhao Rongjie developed severe sickness symptoms after the arrest and was brought home. Ms. Qu Yanyan is being held in the Daqing City No.1 Detention Center. Ms. Zhang Shouxian, Ms. Qu Hui and Mr. Ma Xiquan are being held in the Daqing City Detention Center and the Longfeng Detention Center.

5. [Songyuan City, Jiling Province] Elderly Ms. Bao Arrested

Ms. Bao, an elderly practitioner from Kalafangzi Village in Songyuan City, was arrested in the spring of 2012. She is being held in the Development Zone Detention Center

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xiuqin Arrested by Officers from the Domestic Security Division

Ms. Wang Xiuqin from Dongshidao Street, Dehui, Changchun City was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of June 21, 2012 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books and other items were confiscated.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jin Fenglan Arrested

Ms. Jin Fenglan from Huangniuchang, Beian, Yanshou County, Heilongjiang Province was arrested at home by agents from the Yanshou County Domestic Security Division on June 17, 2012. They confiscated a satellite dish and two Falun Gong books.

8. [Siping City, Jilin Province] More on the Arrest of Mr. Zhou Liping

Mr. Zhou Liping is from Siping City. Agents from the Siping 610 Office deceived him into going back to Siping and arrested him on May 22, 2012. He was transferred to a brainwashing center located at the Xiaoguang Village Welfare Home in Shahezi, Jilin City.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Xiurong Arrested

Officers from the Jiushuilu Police Station in Licang District sent Ms. Meng Xiurong from Laoshan District, Qingdao City to the Qingdao City No.1 Shelter on the afternoon of June 17, 2012 for a term of 15 days.

10. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Qingying Arrested

Ms. Lu Qingying from Jiangyan Village, Fate Town, Shulan City was arrested when she was working at a restaurant in Jilin City on the morning of June 19, 2012. She is being held in the Nanshan Detention Center in Shulan City.

11. [Urumqi, Xinjiang] Eight Practitioners Arrested and Subjected to Brainwashing

The Midong District Authorities in Urumqi held a brainwashing session at Changshanzi Town Holiday Village from April 16, 2012 to June 4, 2012. The following Falun Gong practitioners were taken to the brainwashing session: Ms. Zou Xiuying, Ms. Gao San and Ms. Zhou from Miquan, Ms. Sun Xiuli from Shihezi, Mr. Zhang Zhenglong from the Leather Factory, Ms. Ding Daxing from the Petroleum and Chemical Group, Ms. Zhang Chulan and Ms. Shao Xiaoyun from the No. 2 Steel Factory.

12. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Meizhen Arrested

Ms. Chen Meizhen from Hanting, Weifang City, almost 70, is a retired teacher. Officers from the Hanting Domestic Security Division barged into her home and arrested her on June 19, 2012. Her home was also ransacked. She was released the same afternoon after the authorities extorted 10,000 yuan from her.

13. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Xilian and Ms. Yang Jingfen Sent to Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Song Xilian and Ms. Yang Jingfen from Shenze County, Shijiazhuang City, were reported to the police and arrested by officers from the Loudi Police Station for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Nanma Village, Anguo County. They were sent to the Shijiazhuang City Brainwashing Center. After two weeks, they were sent to the Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced Labor Camp.

14. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Wang Shengshu Arrested

Mr. Wang Shenshu from Waitan Residential Quarters was arrested by officers from the Rengang Police Station on the evening of June 4, 2012. He is being held in the Jinjiang Hotel.

15. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Song Xinfeng Held in Chenggu County Detention Center

Mr. Song Xinfeng from Chenggu County, Hanzhong City was reported by Wang Xiaoan and subsequently arrested for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Gong Village, Wulangmiao Township. He is being held in the Chenggu County Detention Center.

16. [Huanggang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang and Ms. Fan Baozhen Arrested

Elderly Ms. Zhang from Baota, Huangzhou District, Huanggang City was arrested at her store on the afternoon of June 18, 2012.

Ms. Fan Baozhen from Huangzhou District, Huanggang City was arrested for posting informational materials about Falun Gong on the street on June 19, 2012.

17. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Huang Guixian Arrested

Ms. Huang Guixian from Qiannan, Guizhou Province, who has been moving from place to place to avoid persecution, was arrested in Baiyun District, Guiyang City on June 9, 2012.

18. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Jiang Zhihui and Mr. Yang Shuzhong Arrested

Officers from the Huili County Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Jiang Zhihui and Mr. Yang Shuzhong from Huanghu Village, Guoyuan Township, Huili County. They were sent to the Xining Brainwashing Center in Xichang City, Sichuan Province.

19. [Tianjin] Mr. Li Xiwang Died as a Result of Torture

Mr. Li Xiwang was subjected to a cruel torture method called “earth anchor” and died in Binhai Prison on July 29, 2011.
