Additional Persecution News from China – June 6, 2012 (25 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 19 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 36 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Changyi District police arrested Ms. Wang Guisuo, Mr. Yan Guoheng, Ms. Zhou Hongli, and Mr. Gao Peng'an on the evening of May 29, 2012.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ouyang Cuirong and Mr. Fang Xionghua Illegally Sentenced to Imprisonment

Dongxihu District Court officials sentenced Mr. Ouyang Cuirong to three and a half years of imprisonment, and Mr. Fang Xionghua to three years in prison on May 30, 2012.

4. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Baiyin City Police Department and Jingtai County Police Department, along with officers from police stations from all the nearby towns and townships, arrested practitioners in Jingtai County and ransacked their homes on May 31, 2012. The police pried open the lock on the anti-theft door of Mr. Ma Zufu and Ms. Hao Guofang's home. The police took them away. Mr. Ma is currently in the Jingtai County Detention Center.

The practitioners arrested also included Mr. Wang Yichao, Mr. Wang Yiping, Mr. Hu Guangguo, Mr. Yang Jianfu, Ms. Wan Minfen, Ms. Ma Liyuan, and Ms. Wang Lanzhen. Mr. Hu Guangguo has been released, but the whereabouts of other practitioners are unknown.

5. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested and Held in the Provincial Brainwashing Center

Six practitioners from Xishui County have been arrested since May 8, 2012. They are Ms. Ma Deyun, Ms. Ma Xiaoliang (Ms. Ma Deyun's daughter), Ms. Ma Jingming, Ms. Cai Meilian, Ms. Zhao Yingtai and a practitioner surnamed You. The police ransacked the practitioners' homes. The police took away three computers and more than 20,000 yuan in cash from Ms. Ma Jingming's home. The six practitioners are currently incarcerated in the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center.

6. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Hou Hua from Farm No. 857

Ms. Hou Hua from Farm No. 857 was arrested on the morning of June 4, 2012 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong and the persecution. The police from the farm made the arrest and took away her Falun Gong books and informational materials about Falun Gong. The police also extorted 500 yuan from her.

7. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Jianwu Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhou Jianwu from Qingshan District was arrested on the morning of May 30, 2012, as he went to work. Participating in the arrest were officers from the 610 Office and Domestic Security Division. Mr. Zhou was taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.

The police broke into Mr. Zhou's residence the next day, May 31, and took away his computer and Falun Gong books.

8. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Kongfen Arrested at Home on the Morning of June 5, 2012

Ms. Zhao Caixia from Yanqing County was transferred from the Xicheng District Detention Center to the Changping Detention Center on May 27, 2012. The police said that they would send her to a forced labor camp on June 14.

10. [Nanchong, Sichuan Province] Mr. Gao Deyuan Arrested at Home and Taken to the Xishan Brainwashing Center on the Morning of June 5, 2012

11. [Shishou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yin Suwen and Two Other Elderly Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yin Suwen, 67, Ms. Chen Zhimin, 73, and Ms. Zhang Yinzhen, 75, were arrested on the morning of May 30, 2012, as they were speaking with people about Falun Gong. Plainclothes police officers took them to the Xiulin Police Station. After one day of interrogation and detention, Ms. Zhang was released. Ms. Yin and Ms. Chen were transferred to the Shishou Detention Center.

Ms. Li Guiping from Jianghan District is currently being held in the Erzhigou Women's Detention Center in Dongxihu District.

The head of Chezhan Road Police Station, along with others in Jiang'an District, broke into Ms. Xu Tong's home to arrest her on the evening of June 4, 2012. They took her to the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center.

15. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Updated Information Regarding Ms. Wang Defen

Ms. Wang Defen from Li Village was arrested on April 11, 2012 as she was speaking with people about Falun Gong in Chengyang. She was held in the Dashan Detention Center. Her mentally ill daughter was also sent to the social assistance station. Ms. Wang's husband passed away due to illness, and Ms. Wang and her daughter have only each other to depend on.

16. [Yanji, Jilin Province] Mr. Rui Kerong Arrested

Officer Zheng Zhezhu and others from the Domestic Security Division went to Mr. Rui Kerong's home on June 5, 2012, and deceived him into going to the Domestic Security Division, and subsequently took him to the Yanji City Detention Center.

17. [Funing County, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zheng Jinzhao and Ms. Si Xia Arrested

Mr. Zheng Jinzhao and Ms. Si Xia were arrested on the morning of June 5, 2012 as they were speaking with people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhang Fengzhi from Beizhuang Village, Shiting Town was arrested and released on June 1, 2012. The police arrested her again on June 4 as she was doing household chores at home.

19. [Siping, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Liping Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Center

An officer who claimed his name was Ma and was from the Social Security Bureau deceived Ms. Zhou Liping, who works in Changchun, into returning to Siping. He phoned her on May 22, 2012. He lied, claiming that something was wrong with her retirement procedures. Ms. Zhou was taken to a brainwashing center in the Police Training School.

20. [Zaozhuang, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Feng Has Been Missing for Years

Mr. Zhao Feng was born in 1968 in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province. He went missing around 2001, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Erguna, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Cao Yuzhi and Ms. Yu Shuhua Held in Labu Dalin Detention Center

Ms. Cao Yuzhi, 71, and Ms. Yu Shuhua, 67, from Moerdaoga, were followed and arrested as they distributed informational materials about Falun Gong on the morning of May 5, 2012. Their homes were ransacked. They are currently in the Labu Dalin Detention Center.

22. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Guoying Harassed Many Times

Officers from the Jianye District 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and Nanyuan Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Guoying's home on April 26, 2012. They ransacked her home and took away her computer and Falun Gong books. They have made many harassing calls to Ms. Zhang over the past days.

23. [Lanzhou, Gansu Province] Mr. Chen Deguang and Ms. Sheng Chunmei Couple Tried in Court

Mr. Chen Deguang and Ms. Sheng Chunmei couple's lawyer received a notification from the Lanzhou City Intermediate Court on the afternoon of June 5, 2012, stating that the court had scheduled a trial for the couple on June 12.

25. [Hohhot, Inner Mongolia] Several Practitioners Persecuted

Six practitioners, including Ms. Wang Lanfang, Ms. Ning Shihua, Mr. Ran Weiming, Mr. Li Zhiqiang, Mr. Shang Xigui, and Ms. Yang Junlian, went to Wuchuan County on the morning of May 12, 2012 to distribute truth clarification materials. On the way there, the police found and chased them. The police blew out the practitioners' car tires with an air gun. Ms. Ning Shihua and Mr. Ran Weiming were arrested, and the other practitioners were able to escape.

That same night, Mr. Ran was detained and beaten by police. His home was ransacked. He is currently being held in a detention center.

Ms. Ning, who is 71 years old, was detained for four days. Her home was ransacked. The police took away personal belongings and cash, valued at more than 70,000 yuan. The police had planned to send Ms. Ning to a detention center, but she showed symptoms of illness, so the police had to release her and send her home. After she was released, the police constantly harassed her.

Ms. Yang Junlian was detained for a day on May 4. Her family was extorted of 2,000 yuan before she was released. In addition, the practitioner's 5,000 yuan car rental deposit was confiscated by officers from the Domestic Security Division.
