Saving my old fellow armymen
I clarify the truth about Dafa to whomever I come into contact with. In the last few years, many people have come to understand the facts about Dafa and done the three withdrawals (withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party and its two youth organizations), choosing a bright future for themselves.
One of these people previously served in the army with me. We were very close over 40 years ago. After transferring to civilian work, we went our separate ways and didn't see each other for several decades.
This man was candid and honest. He was good at writing and had worked as a battalion clerk in the army. After leaving the army, he served as the secretary of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) branch for a few decades. During this time he was perniciously influenced by the CCP culture. His wife was also a senior CCP member. The couple thought that the CCP's severe corruption was not a big problem. They simply shut their eyes to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. They even thought that any ruling party, communist or not, would suppress Falun Gong. Many practitioners clarified the facts to the couple, but both of them refused to accept the truth and to withdraw from the CCP. They had also been given truth-clarification materials, but never read them.
I found it difficult to save such people. But Master said: ”Many cosmic bodies' Kings and Lords have come here, and they represent gigantic cosmic bodies.” (Touring North America to Teach the Fa Quote verified). So I realized he must have come here from a high level and should also be saved. As a Dafa disciple, I came here to assist Master in Fa-rectification. How could I not save him? I could not. So I discussed with my wife how to find and save them. We agreed: after finding them, I would clarify the truth about Dafa to them, while my wife would send forth righteous thoughts.
My wife and I brought gifts when we visited my old friend and his wife. Although we had not seen each other for several decades, we recognized each other after a while. We had so much to chat about. Later, I said to him, ”Elder brother, we come here today to visit you and your wife for a friendly talk. We would also like to tell you that my wife and I practice Falun Gong, and that Falun Gong is entirely different how the CCP propaganda portrays it. It has actually been wronged and persecuted. ”
When I mentioned Falun Gong, he was not so cordial anymore. Regardless of his attitude, I went on to say, ”You have only heard Falun Gong being slandered, so you do not know the facts about it. In reality, Falun Gong is a cultivation way of a high order that requires practitioners to conduct themselves according to Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Such a practice can prove very beneficial to any country and nation.”
Then I detailed to them the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and the CCP's brutal persecution, as well as significance of the three withdrawals. Meanwhile, my wife was sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements preventing them from understanding the facts about Dafa. While doing so, she also said a few things.
At first, my old friend and his wife appeared to be very impatient. Later, they calmed down as they listened to me. They even asked me a lot of questions, such as about seeing a doctor, taking medicine, the so-called self-immolation on Tiananmeng Square, being against the CCP, being involved in politics, and “besieging” of Zhongnanhai, etc. We gave clear answers to all their questions. Then I seized the right moment to give them two pseudonyms so they could withdraw from the CCP. In the end, my former fellow armyman said that, despite the fact that many practitioners had previously clarified the facts about Dafa and tried to persuade him to do the three withdrawals to save himself, he had not believed them. But this time he really understood a lot. Then he told his wife to withdraw from the CCP with him. In this way, two lives were finally saved after having been deceived and taken advantage of by the CCP for several decades.
This year I went to my hometown for truth clarification and brought DVDs of the Shen Yun show and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. When I saw my former fellow army man's wife, she told me joyously: “My son, who divorced his ex-wife long time ago, was married last year and had a baby in June this year. He also found a new high paying job. We had been worried about his marriage before!” I was very happy to hear that and said, “You are blessed for your understanding about the facts of Dafa and quitting the CCP, aren't you?” She nodded, smiling.
My former fellow army man told me a story. One day he went to a harbor and was about to embark to sea, when a woman came to him and gave him a DVD about Falun Gong stories. He accepted it happily and put it in his pocket. When he boarded the boat, the DVD slipped out of his pocket and dropped into the water. He jumped into the water to get it. Fortunately, the water was not very deep and it did not take much effort to retrieve the DVD, but his pants were soaked. Despite this, he made haste to chase the woman who gave him the DVD and asked her to give him a new one. She said the DVD was water-proof as it was sealed in a plastic package. She was astonished to see his wet pants and was quite moved when he told her what happened. She finally gave him a new DVD. If this had happened before, he would not have accepted any DVD about Falun Gong stories, let alone jump into the water to save it.
I was also quite moved by his story, witnessing the miraculous changes that Dafa made in him. I was so happy that he has secured a nice future for himself. I thank Master for saving that man and his wife.
Saving Sentient Beings with a True Heart
In September last year I went to buy some vegetables in an open market and took the opportunity to clarify the truth. I saw a man, tan and with a lean face, selling his vegetables while complaining about the CCP's corruption and the insolence of its officers. I went up to him with the intention of talking with him about Falun Gong. During our conversation I learned that he was the former secretary of a village Communist Party Committee. He was recognized as an honest and trustworthy man among his fellow villagers, but due to his lack of fawning endeavors and bribes to his superiors, he was expelled from his post in a reshuffling of the bureaucracy in the village. He thought he was wronged and bore quite a grudge because of how he felt he had been unfairly treated.
I said to him, “Countless similar things are happening in China nowadays. The tra they laid for you was not without reason. As a matter of fact, the CCP has never been truthful. It is no wonder that the CCP officers lie to you. In the past decades, the CCP has launched many political movements. More than 80 million Chinese have died as a result of the persecution and famine it caused. For instance, the Great Leap Forward in 1960 and the boasting and exaggeration of food supplies afterward—many people died of famine due to this man-made catastrophe, but the CCP simply blamed nature. They told lies, although the facts were as obvious as the Olympias Mountains, trying to escape history's reckoning.
“Nowadays only Falun Gong sticks to the truth and exposes the CCP's treacheries,” I continued. “They teach people to be good according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The CCP's cruel persecution, based on the policy “Defame their reputations, bankrupt them economically, and destroy them physically,” has killed Falun Gong practitioners while the Party simply counts these deaths as suicides. How evil! ”
Upon hearing me mention Falun Gong, he said promptly, “Do not talk to me about this. I do not want to listen.” Right away the atmosphere became frigid. I said, “Perhaps you are not familiar with the facts about Falun Gong.” He said impatiently, “I don't know about Falun Gong? I know it only too well! My sister-in-law is a practitioner. She does not have a proper job and leads an irresponsible life, spending all her money on those Falun Gong things. She tells every person she meets about securing a nice future by withdrawing from the CCP. She is always against the CCP. She even urged me to quit the CCP with a pseudonym she gave me, but I simply ignored her. She can give me any pseudonym she wants, but they all have nothing to do with me.” I said, “She is doing a good thing by saving people from the CCP! As you know, after committing so many bad deeds that have shocked the heavens, the CCP has now become the target of destruction by the heavens. It is the the will of the heavens and no one can escape it. As a member of the CCP, you will be implicated, too, when it is destroyed.” He said, “Do not talk with me about this. I do not believe you. Go away!” I knew what he meant was: “If you will not buy vegetables then leave.” So I left, thinking that any further talk would not make any difference.
I was somehow annoyed and wondered why the man could not see through the CCP since even he had been unfairly treated by it. It was so hard to save him. His sister-in-law was a practitioner, but he refused to listen to what she told him about Falun Gong. I was quite frustrated by the realization that my effort to save him might not work in the end. I then remembered Master's Fa about the preciousness of the Chinese. I thought that, although the man was so deceived by the CCP, his opinion on Falun Gong could have been shaped by his poor impression of his sister-in-law. If that was the case, he would not be saved because of a Dafa practitioner's failure to do good enough in one way or another and the practitioner would be held accountable for his not being saved. I could not let this happen, no matter how impatient he might be with me. He had to understand the facts about Falun Gong and his misunderstandings of what Dafa practitioners were doing had to be set right. He should not end up unsaved because of his misunderstanding about what we were doing.
I then looked inside to trace the reason in my heart for his failure to understand the facts about Falun Gong. I noticed that I had not clarified the facts about Falun Gong to people out of my true inspiration to save them, but had done it as if it was a formal and routine job. I would be happy if a person agreed to withdraw from the CCP and would simply leave them if they refused, showing no compassion at all. After I found the problem in myself, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all evil elements in other dimensions that were preventing the vegetable seller from understanding the facts about Falun Gong. The next day my wife and I went to him again, setting ourselves free from any human thoughts or complaints.
When he saw us, he did not said anything as he collected his unsold, shoddy vegetables. I went to him and crouched down to help him, saying, “You said yesterday that you sister-in-law is leading an irresponsible life and spends all her money on Falun Gong. You should not set your opinion about Falun Gong merely on her, who might have failed to do well in accordance to the requirements of Falun Gong. Falun Gong itself is righteous, because it teaches people to be good. I hope your misunderstandings are not as a result of her behavior. If it is not so, but that you are looking upon your sister-in-law from the point of view of the CCP because of your belief in the CCP, then you are certainly wrong and unfair to her.” He said, “Do not talk with me about this. Let us talk about something else.” I said, “Take yourself as a example. You are an honest man, yet you were dismissed from your post merely because you did not bribe your superiors. You, a capable man, are not allowed to do your work since you didn't not pay them money. They only want to make money for themselves. In contrast, your sister-in-law spends all her money on producing Falun Gong truth clarification materials to save people. Who would you say is the better person? They are entirely different people, like heaven from the earth. Being an honest man, can you not tell them apart? You have been on the side of the CCP. It is quite unfair to your sister-in-law because you fall for the CCP's lies.” He fell silent. I thought I should stop here to give him some time to think about what I had told him, so I left.
The third day we went to him again. I gave him a truth clarification brochure, saying, “Please read this. If you understand the facts about Falun Gong, you can withdraw from the CCP to secure a nice future for yourself. Do not stay with the CCP when heaven destroys it. Hasn't your sister-in-law given you a pseudonym? You can quit the CCP in your heart with that name. The gods value the true hearts of men, and you will secure a nice future if you truly withdraw from the CCP. My master is truly compassionate to you and believes that you can be saved. That is why he sends me to you so many times.” He solemnly accepted the brochure and put it into the inner pocket of his jacket, saying, “Sure, I will quit. I will certainly quit.” His attitude changed so much that even I was surprised. With my perseverance, he finally understood the facts about Falun Gong and quit the CCP. Upon seeing his choice from his own heart, we were quite relieved and felt very happy for his being saved.
One day my wife went to the market to buy some vegetables, when she saw him eating a tomato. She said to him jokingly, “What? You only eat? No selling today?” He said, “You see, no one is here to buy my vegetables. I have been on my feet here the whole morning.” My wife said, “Haven't I told you to say, 'Falun Dafa is good?' Have you done that?” He did not answer. The next day my wife went to the market for truth clarification again. When she was buying a watermelon, she heard someone chanting loudly, “Da is good! Da is truly good!” She turned back and saw it was him. She said, “Are you saying that the big (da) melon is good?” He said, “No. Do you not remember, you told me to say those words?” She then realized what he meant, “Ah, you are saying 'Falun Dafa is good!'” He said, “Of course.” She said, “Then you say all the words. Do not leave any out.” He smiled.
Several days later, when I saw him again, I said to him, “You have made such remarkable progress! Now you dare to say, “Falun Dafa is good!” He said, “I am not brave enough to say all the words, but I know it in my heart.” He then told me, “That day when I was selling tomatoes, your wife told me to repeat, “Falun Dafa is good.” I did what she told me and I sold all my tomatoes in a very short time. Every person came to buy my tomatoes. I went home four times to get more tomatoes, and all of them were sold. Falun Dafa is truly good!”
Now he has a gleaming pink face and looks energetic, in contrast to his lean, dark appearance before he quit the CCP. When he sees us, he greets us like old friends and selects some good vegetables from his booth, giving them to us for free. We thank him for his generosity and tell him the principle about no loss, no gain. One day he told me that he has two friends doing farming work in Russian. They also received truth clarification about Falun Gong from the local people there, who wrote the words in Chinese on a blackboard. He said, “Falun Dafa is so good. People all around the world are practicing it.”
Above are some personal understandings acquired in my truth clarification and saving sentient beings. Please point out anything improper.
