(Minghui.org) May 13, 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public and the 13th World Falun Dafa Day. On this special occasion, New Jersey State Senate and General Assembly issued a Joint Legislative Resolution to note the importance of World Falun Dafa Day, May 13, 2012, during New Jersey Falun Dafa Month, and to acknowledge the exemplary work of its founder, Master Li Hongzhi.

Whereas, The members of the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey are pleased to note that Falun Dafa Day will take place in the Garden State on May 13, 2012, during New Jersey Falun Dafa Month; and

Whereas, New Jersey Falun Dafa Month of 2012 is an appropriate time to observe the Twentieth Anniversary of Master Li Hongzhi’s first public teaching of the practice in Changchun, China, and to recognize his remarkable history of steadfast commitment to improving health in mind, body, and spirit and to enhancing the well-being of people from all social backgrounds, races, and religions; and

Whereas, this significant occasion will be marked during a special ceremony and celebration at the Buchmuller Park of Secaucus on May 12, 2012, during which practitioners will offer free exercise and meditation classes and perform demonstrations of dances, music, singing, and the lion dance; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa has touched the lives of numerous residents of New Jersey since its introduction to this State in 1996, and free workshops have been offered throughout the State in libraries, community centers, senior citizens centers, universities, health expos, parks, and Y.M.C.A.s; and

Whereas, it is both proper and fitting for this Legislative to note the importance of World Falun Dafa Day, May 13, 2012, during New Jersey Falun Dafa Month, and to acknowledge the exemplary work of its founder, Master Li Hongzhi; now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

That this Legislative hereby honors the organizers of and meaningful and successful observation of these events; and

Be it further resolved, that a duly authenticated copy of this resolution be signed by the Senate President and the Assembly Speaker and attested by the Senate Secretary and the Assembly Clerk.
