(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 31 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Zhong on the Verge of Death as a Result of Persecution
Mr. Zhao Zhong was taken away by officers from the Xiaodongmen Police Station in the Dadong District on the morning of April 15, 2012. He was taken to the Dadong Detention Center. It is known that Mr. Zhao is critically ill as a result of persecution. He is being held in a hospital near “Red Start Meikailong” in the Dadong District. The details are unknown.

2. [Huainan, Anhui Province] Mr. Lao Liu Arrested
Mr. Lao Liu, about 70, is retired from the Xiejiaji First Coal Mine. Police from the Xiejiaji District ransacked his home and took him away at noon on April 30, 2012.

3. [Yingkou, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about Mr. Guo Yanda and Other Falun Gong Practitioners
On April 18, 2012, officers from the Dongqiao Police Station in Yingkou seized Mr. Guo Yanda, Ms. Ji Guihua, Ms. Zhao Yumei, Ms. Jiang Zhi, Ms. Liu Yuzhuo, Ms. Liu Caixia, Ms. Shang Shuqin, Mr. Wu Shiwei, and Ms. Jiao Guizhen and her older sister. Ms. Jiao Guizhen (who is not a practitioner) has been released. All the others are being detained. Mr. Guo Yanda was recently sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
4. [Tuanfeng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Xiurong Arrested
Wan Huiya and Dong Zhao from the Huangzhou District Domestic Security Division in Huanggang, Anhui Province, ransacked the home of Ms. Xiao Xiurong in Tuanfeng County on the morning of April 23, 2012. They took a copy of Zhuan Falun and two cell phones. Ms. Xiong was also arrested.

5. [Foshan, Guangdong Province] Ms. Jiang Xiuzhen and Mr. Zhang Yangkai Arrested
Ms. Jiang Xiuzhen lives in Lishui Town in the Nanhai District of Foshan. Mr. Zhang Yangkai lives in Shunliaowei Village in the Nanhai District. They were taken away from their homes by police and village officials on the morning of April 9 and 18, 2012, respectively. Ms. Jiang is being detained in the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center while Mr. Zhang is in the Sanshui Brainwashing Center.

6. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Jilin and Ms. Han Lifeng Arrested
Mr. Wang Jilin and his wife, Ms. Han Lifeng, were taken away from their home by a dozen officers from the Weizhoulu Police Station and the Kuiwen Police Department on April 26, 2012. The police also ransacked their home and took pictures of Master Li, Falun Dafa books, cell phones, a laptop, a satellite receiver, phone cards, and cash. Now the couple are being detained in the Weifang Brainwashing Center.
7. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Chunling Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Chunling from Panjiayuan in the Chaoyang District of Beijing was arrested in February 2012. She has been sent to a forced labor camp for a two-and-a-half-year term.
8. [Changle, Shandong Province] Mr. Hu Jinyan Sent to Forced Labor Camp
On April 24, 2012, Changle domestic security officers transferred Mr. Hu Jinyan from the Changle Detention Center to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term.
9. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Jinda Arrested
Mr. Liu Jinda lives in Dongying Village, Gaoli, the Hanting District, Weifang. He was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Zhangzhuang on the morning of March 28, 2012. He was taken away by officers from the Gaoli Police Station. His home was ransacked, and about 30,000 yuan in cash was taken.
10. [Luzhou, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Hongzhou Arrested
Ms. Chen Hongzhou was arrested when she went to her hometown in Lu County on April 26, 2012. She is now in the Lu County Detention Center.
11. [Gaotang, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Jixia, Mr. Guo Zhenjie, and Mr. Li Chengmin Taken to Forced Labor Camps
On April 28, 2012, Ms. Yin Jixia was sent to the Shandong First Women's Forced Labor Camp at 26 Jiangshuiquan Road, Lixia District, Jinan, Shandong Province; Mr. Guo Zhenjie and Mr. Li Chengmin were sent to the Eighth Division of Shandong Second Forced Labor Camp at 29 Jiwang Road, Guanzhuang Township, Zhangqiu, Shandong Province.
12. [Ningjin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Fuli and Ms. Yang Shuang Had About 70,000 Yuan Extorted from Them
Mr. Wang Fuli and his wife Ms. Yang Shuang were arrested on March 23, 2012. Mr. Wang was released on March 28, 2012, after having 30,000 yuan extorted from him. Ms. Yang was taken to Dezhou but was released after she handed over about 40,000 yuan.
13. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Additional Information about the Arrests of Mr. Ren Bingli and His Wife, Ms. Sun Lixin
On the afternoon of April 23, 2012, Mr. Ren Bingli; his wife, Ms. Sun Lixin; and two others were working in a factory. About 20 police officers surrounded the factory and seized them. They police ransacked the factory and confiscated three computers, a printer, a fax machine, paper, DVDs, and a large amount of cash. It is known that one of the four people has been released but the others are being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.
14. [Wulumuqi, Xinjiang] Ms. Zhang Jin Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Jin was taken away by railway police officers for distributing Falun Gong materials in the Railway Residential Area of Wulumuqi on December 29, 2011. Officers from the Xinshi District Police Department took her to the Liudaowan Detention Center in Wulumuqi. Ms. Zhang was sent to a forced labor camp for a one-year term on January 19, 2012.
15. [Longkou, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Shuhong Arrested
Ms. Jiang Shuhong was taken away from her home by police on the morning of April 28, 2012. The police took away a laptop and a desktop computer. Ms. Jiang is being detained in the First Detention Center in Fushan District, Yantai, Shandong Province.
16. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ni Hanying Arrested
Ms. Ni Hanying from the Dachang District in Nanjing was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of April 27, 2012. Zhou Guoyi from the Dachang Domestic Security Division and several plainclothes policemen ransacked her home. They took a computer, two cell phones, two MP4 players, and Falun Dafa books.

17. [Haiyang, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Guoling Detained
51-year-old Ms. Li Guoling from Zhuwu Town, Haiyang, was taken away by officers from the Zhuwu Police Station for distributing Falun Gong materials in a market on March 23, 2012. She is being held in a detention center.
18. [Jiaonan, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Jinhua Arrested
Ms. Feng Jinhua was arrested on April 20, 2012. She is being detained in the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao, Shandong Province.
19. [Shandong Province] Mr. Cui Baogeng Arrested
Mr. Cui Baogeng, in his 60s, is retired work from the Third Mine of Shengli Oil Company in Shengli Oil Field. On the night of April 21, 2012, he went to Beijing to clarify the truth and was arrested. He was escorted back by domestic security officers. His whereabouts are unknown.
20. [Beijing] Mr. Zhang Jiuhai Arrested
At the beginning of April 2012, Mr. Zhang Jiuhai from Shunyi, Beijing, was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong at the construction site where he worked. His whereabouts are unknown.
21. [Guiyang, Guizhou Province] Ms. Xing Xiuzhen and Ms. Zhu Jingzhen Arrested
Ms. Xing Xiuzhen and Ms. Zhu Jingzhen live in Sanqiaoxinjie in the Yunyan District, Guiyang. On the night of April 12, 2012, eight policemen ransacked their homes and seized the two practitioners. The police took away property and cash worth more than 100,000 yuan. The two practitioners are being detained in the Baihuashan Detention Center in Guiyang.
