A Few Thoughts about the Upcoming Fa Conference in New York

(Minghui.org) Dear fellow practitioners, I would just like to quickly share about the importance of our state of mind regarding the upcoming Fa Conference in New York and all future Fa conferences no matter where they are. [Editor's Note: The New York Fa conference was held May 13, 2012]

We all know Fa conferences are part of our cultivation and moments we should deeply cherish. Yet I feel we sometimes fail to have the appropriate state of mind. Maybe it is because we are too excited and want to share this moment with our relatives. Maybe we are happy to see our fellow practitioners and are eager to chat with them and exchange our last experiences. Maybe we consider the trip a kind of holiday. Or there could be so many other things... But all of them might cause deviations in our minds. And if a lot of practitioners are affected, the resulting effect might be considerable.

Last year or the year before last in Washington, DC, because of technical issues, the doors into the venue opened late. Last year in New York there was a hurricane that affected planned activities and made it difficult for some practitioners to attend the Fahui.

And finally, Master also told us:

I close my eyes and doze off
to sever all troubles here Upon waking,

Neither heaven nor earth can
block my road of Fa-rectification
But disciples’ human hearts can"
