(Minghui.org) I started to practice Falun Dafa in March 1998. After obtaining the Fa, I knew how precious Dafa is and understood the real purpose of being human—returning to my original, true self and assimilating to the principle of the cosmos: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” I studied the Fa, did the exercises, and spread the Fa every day. I demanded of myself to live according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and to upgrade my xinxing. Master kept purifying my mind and body, and I experienced many benefits.
One day in October 1999, as I was going home from school, I felt a terrible itchiness on my lower jaw. I scratched a few times without thinking. The next day there were several blisters and running sores at the corners of my mouth. I did not give it much thought. I thought maybe I swore at others too much before and I was paying back my karma. Not to worry—I would be fine soon.
However, on the third day, the right side of my face was covered with running sores. My condition was very serious so I had to take off work and stay at home. My neighbors and colleagues advised me to go to the hospital. I said I was fine. I studied the Fa and did the exercises at home every day.
Over the fifth, sixth and seventh day, my entire face was covered by running sores. Most of my face was red and swollen and very painful. When I looked at my face in the mirror, it seemed my face was disfigured by sulfuric acid. I was shocked but my mind was firm. When several relatives and friends visited, they expressed their shock when they saw me and pressed me to check in at the hospital. One person said, “[So-and-so] had symptoms similar to yours. He died of skin cancer. You should get this treated as soon as possible, otherwise it might be too late.”
The evil party secretary, and leaders from the town and education committees came to my home. They used threats to try to force me to write a guarantee letter giving up practicing Falun Dafa. I was not moved at all. I said to them, “I follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. I have freedom of belief. I am not sick. It is my Master who is eliminating my karma. I will be fine soon. The media reports are lies and do not conform to the truth. Please do not believe what is said on TV.” The evil party secretary swore at me when he heard this. He left quickly because he was afraid of being infected.
I kept studying the Fa as the sores continually discharged pus. I covered the sores with tissue and covered my mouth with a mask. I kept changing tissues. The pus did not stop running until two packs of tissues were used. My mouth, nose, and eyes were red, swollen, and painful. It was painful to eat, but I forced myself. I would sometimes swallow pus with my food. I could not breathe easily because my nose was swollen. My eyes became slits. I could not read books. I just recited Master's words: “When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it” (Zhuan Falun)
I kept studying the Fa every day and did the exercises twice a day. About 20 days later, the swelling on my face began to go down. The sores began to dry. I fully recovered a month later. My face got a new layer of skin.
I did not take any pills or injections during the whole experience. I came through with a firm belief in Master. Dafa gave me stamina. Master gave me another chance.
In my future path of cultivation, I will follow the Fa principles taught by Master and keep purifying my body and mind. I also wish those who are lost in the maze to wake up quickly. Do not listen to the lies. You will have a wonderful future only by believing Dafa is good.
