Additional Persecution News from China – April 27, 2012 (35 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 30 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, four Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 56 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Forty to 50 agents from the Li County Police Department 610 Office, the Liushi Police Department, and the Qudi Township Police Station in Baoding City, Hebei Province, barged into Ms. Xie Hongcai's home in Dongying Village, Daqudi Township; arrested Ms. Xie; and confiscated 200 yuan and a cell phone from her husband's handbag on April 23, 2012

3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qu Liling Arrested

Ms. Qu Liling from Baokang Town, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, was arrested in Jilin on April 23, 2012, and transferred to Baokang Town on April 25.

4. [Yanbian, Jilin] Three Practitioners Including Senior Ms. Shi Fengying Arrested on the Afternoon of April 25

5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Guanping Transferred To Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Guanping had been held in a detention center by Guangzhou Police Department authorities for 21 months for talking about Falun Gong. Before her supposed recent release date, they attempted to force her to write a statement promising not to practice Falun Gong any longer and an article defaming Falun Gong, which Ms. Li refused to do. As a result, the release was cancelled and she was transferred to the Maoming Brainwashing Center instead.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Hao Peijie Arrested

Mr. Hao Peijie was arrested by Tian Heng and Liu Xin from the Wenzheng Police Station for handing out materials about Falun Gong on Wenzheng Street in the Xiangfang District of Harbin City. He is now being held in the Third Detention Center of Harbin

7. [Yanji City, Jiling Province] Mr. Qin Ruifu Held in Yanji City Detention Center

Mr. Qin Ruifu was arrested at his workplace by three officers from the Henan Police Station on April 18, 2012. His computer, Falun Gong books, and other items were confiscated from his home. Mr. Qin is now being held in the Yanji City Detention Center.

8. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Shuwen, Ms. Wang Guihua, and Ms. Wang Chunfan Arrested

Ms. Yu Shuwen, Ms. Wang Guihua, and Ms. Wang Chunfan were arrested for distributing Shen Yun Show DVDs at the Yitong Town Farmer's Market on the morning of April 26, 2012. Their homes were ransacked. They are now in the Yitong County Detention Center.

9. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yin and Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Yin, 70 years old, and Ms. Zhang from Changxi, the Longfeng District, Daqing City, were arrested for explaining facts about Falun Gong and handing out informational DVDs in Aolong Residential Quarters of the Longfeng District on April 26, 2012.

11. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yuru, Ms. Wang Yumei, and Ms. Zhang Jifang Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuru, Ms. Wang Yumei, and Ms. Zhang Jifang from Lindian County, Daqing City, were arrested by agents from the Lindian Political and Judiciary Committee, the Lindian 610 Office, and the Lindian Police Department on April 26, 2012. Their homes were ransacked.

12. [Yi County, Hebei Province] Mr. Qin Zhilin Arrested

Mr. Qin Zhilin, in his 60s, is from Beihebei Village, Tanghu Township, Yi County. His home was ransacked by a gang of plainclothes officers from Yi County on April 25, 2012, and he was taken to Yi County.

13. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Xing Tongfu Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Mr. Xing Tongfu from Xu Village, Ganguantun Township, Guan County, was sentenced to three years in prison and taken to the Jinan Prison.

Ms. Qi Yuyan from Huaduhuayuan, Jintun, Shenyang City, was arrested on April 15, 2012. She is now being held in the First Detention Center of Shenyang

16. [Lishu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Cheng Jiaqiu and Ms. Liu Bi Arrested

Ms. Cheng Jiaqiu and Ms. Liu Bi, both employed at the Lishu County Hospital, were arrested at home by officers from the Lishu County Police Department on the evening of April 24, 2012.

17. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Geng Ruifen Arrested

Ms. Geng Ruifen from Jiangbei, Songyuan City, was arrested at home on April 14, 2012. Her computer, printer, cash, network card, Falun Gong books, and other items were confiscated.

18. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Minlan Arrested

Ms. Wang Minlan from Xujiapeng, the Wuchang District, Wuhan City, was arrested at home by two plainclothes officers on April 24, 2012. She is now being held in the Erzhigou Detention Center of Dongxihu District for a term of 15 days.

19. [Xingren County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wang Zhengdi and Ms. Qin Yufen Arrested on April 12

20. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yi Wenyou Arrested

Mr. Yi Wenyou from the Leshan City Machinery Plant of Sichuan was arrested by three plainclothes officers who were hiding at the roadside while he was grocery shopping on the morning of April 25, 2012. His whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Feng Arrested

Ms. Feng was arrested on the afternoon of April 26, 2012, by five plainclothes officers from the Xindu District 610 Office and the Xindu District Domestic Security Division of Chengdu who were waiting for her in front of Ms. Feng's and Ms. Zhang Niang's garage in the Gelinchuntian Residential Quarters. Ms. Feng's whereabouts are unknown.

22. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Mr. Tan Changlong Arrested

Mr. Tan Changlong was arrested by officers from the Kaifeng City State Security Bureau on the evening of March 28, 2012, while he and his wife were selling barbecue from their booth at a night market. His wife (not a Falun Gong practitioner) was detained and interrogated the next day and was released a day after. Officers then barged into their home and confiscated their computer, cell phone, and other items. Mr. Tan is being held in the Kaifeng City Detention Center.

23. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jin Lu Arrested

Ms. Jin Lu was arrested again at home on April 25, 2012, and taken to the Xuzhou City Detention Center.

24. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yulin and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Yulin and two other practitioners from Zhuolu County went out to explain the facts about Falun Gong on the morning of April 16, 2012. They were reported by villager Guo Wanming in Guozhuang Village, Dongxiaozhuang Township, and arrested by officers from the Dongxiaozhuang Township Police Station. They were then sent to the Zhuolu County Police Department Domestic Security Division and 610 Office.

Ms. Li Yulin's home was ransacked. Her photos of the Falun Gong founder and all her Falun Gong books were confiscated.

25. [Chiping County, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Jibo Taken to the County Detention Center

Mr. Song Jibo and another practitioner were found riding a motorcycle on their way to the countryside by officers from the Special Patrol Police Group who were patrolling in a car on the evening of April 17, 2012 . They were taken to the Chiping Special Patrol Police Group. The other practitioner was released that same evening. Mr. Song was taken to the Chiping County Detention Center.

26. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Lian Yikun Arrested

Mr. Lian Yikun from the Wumahe District, Yichun City, was arrested by officers from the Wumahe District Police Department of Yichun City on April 26, 2012, when he was returning to the Wumahe District from out of town in order to go through formalities about his resident identity card.

27. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Many Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Gao Fengqin and elderly Ms. Gao were arrested in Kalafangzi on the afternoon of April 23, 2012. Ms. Zou Guixiang was arrested at home that same day by officers from the Songyuan Police Department, and her Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong founder Mr. Li, and other items were confiscated. Mr. Liu Dianjun and Ms. Zhu Defang were also arrested.

28. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Peng Xiuying and Ms. Wang Yuxiang Arrested

Ms. Peng Xiuying and Ms. Wang Yuxiang (about 60 years old) were taken to the Baima Brainwashing Center on April 23, 2012, for explaining facts about Falun Gong to the public.

29. [Dezhou, Shandong Province] Ms. Kang Shufeng Arrested

Ms. Kang Shufeng, in her 50s, was taken to the Hubinbeilu Police Station of the Decheng District by officers from the Anti-riot Team on the morning of April 23, 2012, for handing out materials about Falun Gong to the public. Her home was ransacked and her MP3 players and other items were confiscated. She is being held in the Detention Center of the Decheng District Police Department.

30. [Leling City, Shandong Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Ms. Wang Shuhua

Ms. Wang Shuhua from Leling City was arrested by officers from the Qingyun Police Department of Shandong on February 2, 2012. She was taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp of Shandong for a term of two years. After being persecuted for two months there, she developed a mental disorder, became totally incontinent, and could not take care of herself. After repetitive requests from her family, she was released and hospitalized. However, she has not completely recovered so far.

31. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Feng Renjun Arrested

Mr. Feng Renjun from the Xindu District of Chengdu City was arrested in front of his home by five to six agents from the Xindu Domestic Security Division who suddenly jumped out from nowhere on the afternoon of April 26, 2012.

Liu Yaping, Party secretary of Beiqiulan Village of Laishui County, and officers including Liu Zhishui from the local police station barged into Ms. Zhang Xiuling's home on the morning of April 23, 2012; arrested her; and confiscated a laptop computer, two printers, a paper cutter, Falun Gong books, informational materials about Falun Gong, and other items. Ms. Zhang was taken to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp on the morning of April 25, 2012.

34. [Pingdu, Shandong Province] Mr. Sui Guanghua Sent to the Dashan Detention Center of Qingdao on April 24, 2012

Officers from the Guiyang City Police Department, Baiyun District Police Department, and police stations in different areas arrested many practitioners, including Mr. Zhao Guibao, Mr. Chen Yougao, Mr. Chen Yu, Mr. Yang Chenggang, Ms. Deng Kaixiu, Ms. Xie Zhongyun, Mr. Guo Wen, and Ms. Wang Tianyun on the evening of April 12, 2012. Officers ransacked their homes and confiscated large amounts of cash, printers, books, cell phones, MP5 players, USB disks, computers, and other items. All the arrested practitioners were taken to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center in the Xiaohe District, Guiyang City.
