(Minghui.org) When I recently heard the news of Bo Xilai's fall from grace within the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I could not control my happiness. Bo has been one of the chief culprits in the persecution of Falun Gong, and this news was uplifting. A few days later I saw an article by a practitioner on the Minghui website that discussed how the evil in other dimensions was able to make use of loopholes to persecute Dafa practitioners because of problems in the whole body of practitioners. My fear emerged when I read this article.
When I calmed down, I thought of the passage in Zhuan Falun where Master mentions a person cultivating to the status of Arhat, but his cultivation status dropped when he was overwhelmed by happiness. His cultivation level also dropped later when he feared whether or not he would make it this time. I felt very ashamed. Was I not behaving like this Arhat?
We have gone through so many tribulations all these years; how could I still have these human notions today?
That person was about to reach consummation when he reached the status of Arhat, yet he still had to pass the final tests regarding his cultivation level and xinxing. Aren’t all the situations that we encounter today also tests of our xinxing?
I saw similar manifestations around me; it was not only me. We exchanged experiences and became acutely aware that the Wang Lijun and Bo Xilai incident must not move our minds. On the surface it seemed that all was peaceful. But recently I heard that a portion of practitioners were fearful; rumours floated around.
Master has already told us that, regardless of what occurs, under all circumstances we must always take the Fa as teacher. We should read the Fa with a calm mind and follow the Fa accordingly. As I see it, all changes around us occur due to the progress of Fa-rectification, and the main purpose of Fa-rectification is to offer sentient beings salvation. All the arrangements made by Master are to lay the path for the salvation of sentient beings. Master has arranged the best for each sentient being at various levels. Dafa practitioners assist Master in Fa-rectification. As long as we think and act according to the standards of Dafa and follow Master's requirements, all should turn out well.
But interference appeared because our minds were not on the Fa. We deviated from the Fa, and thus evil appeared. Although Master's arrangements are the best, we practitioners determine whether or not we meet the requirements of Dafa. This is to say that Dafa practitioners’ thoughts determine the changes in the world. Practitioners’ cultivation determines whether or not sentient beings can be saved. Thus, we must study the Fa well and with a calm heart, cultivate ourselves well, and maintain a proper cultivation state and righteous thoughts. This is most important.
All is under Master's control, including everything of the old forces. Master is in control of everything in the cosmos. But Master asks us to cultivate ourselves. This is His great compassion that no life form is fully able to comprehend. All that Master has done is for the sake of sentient beings.
When I looked inward I realized that, besides having certain desires and attachments on the surface, I still have several common, deeply buried attachments: an attachment to time (2012) [the notion that all will conclude in 2012]; reliance on the power and status of everyday people; reliance on changes in human society; and attachment to comfort and slacking off in doing the three things required of Dafa practitioners. All these human attachments and notions must be gotten rid of. On the surface it looks like these notions have disappeared from my mind, and I am no longer as aware of them, but digging deep, I find that these bad elements, these living things, are still hidden in my dimension. As we are in the period of Fa-rectification, no issue is a minor one. Any single attachment can cause losses for Dafa and could be a potential crime against Fa-rectification. The evil could easily take advantage of these loopholes.
We must be more diligent on this leg of the journey. We must walk our paths well, be steady and righteous. Step by step we must diligently move closer to the magnificent historical moment that awaits us.
