(Minghui.org) On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public and World Falun Dafa Day, Mayor Stephen Mandel of the City of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada proclaimed May 2012 as Falun Dafa Month in Edmonton, Alberta’s Capital City.

Whereas, Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind, body and spirit that has brought health and well-being to people across Canada; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners embrace the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance and incorporate it into their daily lives, striving to become better people in all environments and situations; and
Whereas, transcending the racial and cultural boundaries, Falun Dafa embraces people of all ages, from all walks of life and religious affiliations; and
Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners in communities across Canada will celebrate Falun Dafa Month with parades and free public traditional Chinese dancing and singing performances;
Therefore, I, Mayor Stephen Mandel, do hereby proclaim May, 2012 as “Falun Dafa Month” in Edmonton, Alberta’s Capital City.
