Practitioners in Houston Commemorate April 25 Appeal and Call for Bringing the Perpetrators of the Persecution to Justice (Photo)

(Minghui.org) From 4 to 6 p.m. on April 28, 2012, Falun Gong practitioners in Houston held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate to commemorate the April 25 appeal and to call for an end to the persecution and for the culprits in the persecution to be brought to justice.

The practitioners held banners worded “Falun Dafa,” “Commemorating the 13^th Anniversary of the April 25 Appeal,” “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong,” and “Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Zhou Yongkang, and Liu Jing to justice.”

Practitioner Mr. Song said during an interview, “Falun Gong practitioners are holding a rally today to commemorate the 13^th anniversary of the April 25 appeal. Practitioners have been peacefully protesting the persecution for 13 years. We rationally explain the facts in different ways to call for an end to the persecution and awaken the Chinese people.”

Ms. Zeng came to the US in 1998. Her mother and sister are still in China. All of them practice Falun Gong. In 1996, she heard about the benefits of Falun Gong regarding health and fitness. She introduced Falun Gong to her mother and sister. Her mother, who had different chronic diseases, recovered after practicing Falun Gong. In July 1999, Jiang Zemin initiated the persecution of Falun Gong, and Ms. Zeng’s mother and sister were persecuted for not giving up their belief. Her sister, Zeng Qing, has been imprisoned in forced labor camps, detention center, or prison many times since 2000. Her mother was imprisoned, too.

Ms. Zeng said, “Despite the persecution lasting for so long, they have endured the tribulations and persecution through steadfast belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. Practitioners’ courage is unparalleled.”

Ms. Zeng has often distributed Falun Gong information to people who come for visas to China. She said, “In China, tens of thousands people are being persecuted like my mother and sister. Some practitioners were even subjected to forced organ harvesting while still alive. The deaths of more than 3000 Falun Gong practitioners due to police violence in China have been documented. I have a right and an obligation to expose the persecution and call for it to end.”
