As a result, I developed a toothache, and my mouth swelled badly. I couldn’t fall asleep, so I asked Master to help me. Then my toothache stopped. Actually Master had already given me a hint through other practitioners that I didn’t cultivate my speech before all of this happened.
When I sent forth righteous thoughts at midnight the next day, my toothache returned. I was wondering to myself, what happened; why did it ache again? Then I saw Master's large fashen separate me from two demons. The demons rushed towards me, and then Master stretched out three fingers and said: “You can bite now.” I know it must be my fault and the demons took advantage of my loophole. I knew Master was going to suffer the tribulation for me, which I didn’t want to see. So I said: “Master, I know I was wrong.” However, the demons were so relentless that they bit very hard on Master’s fingers. I began to cry and cried out again that I was wrong. The demons didn’t want to stop. They bit so hard that there was only one spot on Master’s fingernail that hadn’t turned black. Then they tore off Master’s nail from the finger, and red blood came out quickly from the flesh. The demons held Master’s finger and played with the nail. I couldn’t stand it anymore. I shouted out while crying, “Master I’m so sorry, I will cultivate myself well.” The demon also said to Master: “Put her to death.” Master said: “She is my disciple; how can I put her to death?” Master never took His hands back. The demons left after saying some harsh words.
