(Minghui.org) One of my friends told me the following story, and I thought that it was quite interesting.
A couple of days ago a representative from the community visited my friend and asked her to sign the so-called “family pledge card,” which slanders Falun Dafa. My friend remembered that I had frequently told her Falun Dafa was good. She knew the facts pretty well and was offended that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) would make such a request, so she replied, “What you are doing is useless. If I am indeed really cultivating Falun Dafa, I definitely would not tell you. It's just a signature. I can continue to cultivate after you leave.” The community person laughed, “From what you just said, I can tell right away that you are not practicing Falun Dafa. Those Falun Dafa practitioners are very strict with themselves. It is what it is, and they will meet opposition head-on with toughness. So you see how silly they are. They will not even lie to save themselves!" This friend then said, “You do not understand. They are talking about Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and this 'Truthfulness' is not to be said just casually, it is for real. Those truly cultivating cannot lie. Oh, now I, too, understand!” The community representative responded, “You understand now? Then sign the card.” He handed over the form smiling.
My friend shouted,“Wait, that's not right! Since Falun Dafa people do not lie, it is the Communist Party that's lying. Falun Dafa people said that the Tiananmen Self-Immolation Incident was plotted by the CCP, and it looks like that is true!” The community representative was immediately at a loss for words!
“Last year when I traveled to Taiwan and Hong Kong, I saw people practicing Falun Dafa at many scenic spots. I wondered why the people practicing Falun Dafa in Taiwan and Hong Kong were all considered to be normal, but the people practicing Falun Dafa in the Chinese mainland were said to have qigong psychosis?” This friend continued, “Furthermore, one of my colleagues had a daughter who went to study abroad in the US and then returned to China. She said that many blond, blue-eyed foreigners also practice Falun Dafa. So, why haven't the foreigners immolated themselves and committed murder? Only those who practice Falun Dafa in a Communist Party country will get qigong psychosis? Doesn't this seem too unreasonable? Can it be that the CCP is lying to deceive people again?”
Upon hearing this, the community person got flustered and lowered his voice for fear the neighbors might overhear what he said. “This task is assigned to me by my superiors. We are just doing our job. Don't cause us trouble, please just sign.” My friend said, “Not so fast! The CCP is always calling others 'this cult' and 'that cult.' Now you need to tell me, 'Where is the evil in Falun Dafa?' If you can make a reasonable argument, then I will sign.” The community representative stammered and identified Falun Dafa as being "against the Party," but could come up with anything else! My friend challenged him, “If Falun Dafa is against the Party, I would say that it is a good thing. This Party has been so despicable by lying to deceive people. On the contrary, those people raised in Falun Dafa are all good people who only speak the truth. The fact of the matter is that only the bad people are allowed to persecute the good people and the good people cannot fight back.” He then said, “Okay, okay, I will not speak with you anymore. If you do not sign, that's fine, it's just a signature.” The community person walked away mumbling.
My friend told me that according to what she knew, since the community representative could not report back to his leader without the signature, he would surely just sign it for her. The CCP has always been involved with this kind of forgery anyway.
