(Minghui.org) I have five children. My husband doesn't help take care of the family and cares mostly for his own interests and self-indulgence. I have made peace with the fact that he has little sense of responsibility, and I do everything possible to earn a living feed my family.
In the past, I had a strong and stubborn personality, and everyone in my family had to obey me. As a result, family relationships were tense, and I was known as a “tough lady.” To make a decent living, I bribed people and stole electrical power to make popsicles to sell. My business prospered. I used to sleep only one or two hours per day and made a lot of money at the expense of my health. I suffered from a special type of skin cancer that had no cure. It itched and ached tremendously, but I couldn't scratch it. My life was painful beyond description.
Learning Falun Dafa, Enlightening to New Concepts, Rectifying My Words and Deeds
One day my neighbor witnessed the look of pain in my face and said, “I know a place where Falun Dafa lecture videos will be shown. Why don't you go watch?” I found the place and watched a video that night. I heard that the lecture was about Falun Gong. I was very attentive and felt a special sense of contentment while watching the video that I couldn't put into words. Afterward, the practice site assistant asked everyone, “Here is a set of books. Does anybody want them?” No one responded. Usually I don't keep money in my pocket, but that day I had the exact amount needed for the books, so I bought them.
Since that time, I've studied the Fa and done the exercises every day, rain or shine. My illnesses disappeared soon after, without my even noticing. At the same time, the way I viewed and thought about things changed. In the past, I was selfish, infringed on others for my own benefit, had a quick temper, and was very stubborn. After practicing Falun Gong, I learned that I should conduct myself according to the universal principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, and achieve higher levels. My family also became harmonious.
After some time, I suddenly became enlightened to the law of “no loss no gain.” I remembered that I used to steal electrical power for my business, so I calculated that amount and took the money to the electrical station to pay it back. The person on duty told me, “We've already finished the accounting. Let's forget about the past. Just don't do it again.” I said, “I now practice Falun Gong. My Teacher teaches me to be a good person and to continually improve. I must return the money.” The person was moved, “Falun Gong practitioners are truly good people. How great it would be if everyone practiced Falun Gong! It is a pity nowadays that there aren't many good people!”
Lost While Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials, Teacher Led Me
At one point I was persecuted and forced to become homeless in order to avoid further persecution. One day, I had planned on going with a fellow practitioner to distribute truth-clarification materials. The other practitioner suddenly told me that he/she didn't want to go. I thought about the sentient beings who were waiting to be saved and that I should do it even if just one person was there to receive the material.
I carried a large bag of materials and handed them out along the way, and also posted them on utility poles. I reached a remote area and saw only an open field. I thought, “What now? Teacher, how can I find my way back?” With that thought, I saw a golden light in the distance. I walked up to see it more clearly. I realized that what I'd just posted was glowing. I followed the materials I had posted back home without any problem. It was so amazing--I could see each and every utility pole glowing with the materials I'd posted on them. Teacher pointed the way for his practitioner.
One day at around 3:00 p.m., I went out to distribute materials. Another practitioner planned to come with me, but couldn't due to an urgent matter, so I carried enough materials for the two of us. I took the bus to rural villages and kept posting and handing out materials for several hours, until all were gone.
I had breakfast at around 10:00 a.m., but was exhausted after several hours of walking. My feet gave out, and I couldn't walk anymore, so I sat by the side of the road. I thought, “Teacher, there is no bus around here. How can I go home to study the Fa today?” Just then, a tricycle-taxi pulled up in front of me. The taxi was empty, so I asked the driver, “Where are you going?” He replied, “Wherever you are going.”
I realized that Teacher had made the arrangement to get me home. Tears came to my eyes. I thanked Teacher deeply in my heart.
All Beings Are Waiting for Dafa's Salvation
On another occasion I went out alone to distribute Falun Gong materials. I did this for a long time, but didn't notice that it had already become dark outside. I could barely see in front of me, but still had some materials left. I thought, “What do I do now? Where do I go from here?”
Suddenly, a small white dog, wagging its tail, came up to me. I told the dog, “You should remember 'Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good', and please tell others of your kind, too. I am handing out truth-clarification materials, but I'm lost. Can you lead me out of here?” The little dog seemed to understand and started running in front of me. Whenever we arrived at a house, it sat down and waited for me to finish distributing the materials. It then ran in front of me again until I finished handing out everything.
I suddenly realized that I'd reached the main road. I couldn't see the little dog any longer. I realized that all beings are waiting for the salvation of Dafa.
