(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Ruizhen is an employee of the Huarui Heavy Industry Group Co. Ltd. She was arrested on March 15, 2012 at work by three officers from the Shahekou District Fumin Police Station, Dalian, Liaoning Province.
The three officers coerced the company security guard to call Ms. Liu to the gate, then forced Ms. Liu into a vehicle. The officers went to Ms. Liu's office and the women's locker room, and confiscated several of her personal belongings. They then went to Ms. Liu's home and confiscated her valuables. Ms. Liu is now under arrest and currently being held in the Dalian Yaojia Detention Center.
Ms. Liu is 59 years old and a very capable worker. She works in the weight bridge office and performs load measurement. This is an important position in the company for selling scrap iron and other metals. This is also a position in which one can easily receive a lot of unaccounted money, so many people have dreamed about having this job. It is actually quite easy to take 200 to 300 thousand yuan (approximately $32,000 - $48,000 USD) every year. However, Ms. Liu was always exact and fair, and refused any gifts and money from the customers. Her ethics helped save the company a lot of money, and therefore, she was highly trusted and valued by the management. Due to her fairness over the years, she received the nickname “The best scale under the sky.”
Ms. Liu began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. Prior to her practice, she suffered from severe anemia and eye problems. She also had a bad temper and was extremely competitive. After she began cultivation practice, she tried to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and her temper greatly improved. She was no longer attached to fame or money, and was always considerate of others.
After the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Ms. Liu went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. She was arrested twice, in 2000 and 2002, and held at the Yaojia Detention Center for 10 days, and the Dalian Drug Relief Reformatory (located in a water treatment plant) for 15 days. Due to these detentions, her work status changed from permanent to temporary.
On March 15, 2012, Ms. Liu Ruizhen was arrested again and detained. She had already retired, but since she was such a great worker, the company management hired her back to do the load measurement work. Her coworkers, family and friends know that she is an extremely good person. Even the officers who arrested her agreed that she was a very good person, however, since the society is run by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the police had no choice but to arrest her.
