Solemn Declaration

I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 and had Dafa books at home. Dafa practitioners were severely persecuted in our area after the persecution began in 1999. I was arrested and taken to a detention center with more than 20 other practitioners. We were not allowed to go home unless we signed the guarantee statement and paid 5,000 yuan. Being illiterate, I cannot even write my own name. I fingerprinted the guarantee statement. My house was ransacked several times. My husband was scared and said, “It is too dangerous to have those books at home. We will be in trouble if police find them.” I thus burned them. I feel ashamed in front of Master. I solemnly declare, “Everything I have done that is not in accordance with Dafa principles is void and null. I will cultivate Dafa steadfastly and do the three things well to make up for the damage I caused Dafa.”

Solemn Declaration

I started practicing Falun Gong in 1997 and have benefited from Dafa physically and mentally since then. Dafa gave me a second life. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecuted Dafa and Dafa disciples with a vengeance. I was illegally arrested and taken to the police department. Under vicious oppression, I unwillingly agreed to “stop practicing cultivation” and handed over some Dafa books and one Falun pin. Because of my attachment to sentiment and fear, I discarded a few copies of Zhuan Falun in 2002. I have resumed cultivation practice. I am full of regret when I think of those disrespectful remarks I made toward Master and Dafa. I solemnly declare, “Everything I have done that is disrespectful to Master and Dafa is null and void. To make up for the damage I caused Dafa, I will fulfill Master's requirements to do the three things well, save more sentient beings, and go home with Master.”
