(Minghui.org) It has been 17 years since I began practicing Falun Dafa. This is the first time I am writing to share my cultivation experiences with fellow disciples. Above all, I want to send my best regards to our Great Master.
Taking the Path of Cultivation Under Master’s Help
When I encountered Dafa in 1994, I knew little about it. In 1995, I took part in an experience sharing conference in our district. Hearing the experiences of fellow practitioners convinced me of the supernatural characteristic of Dafa. At night in a dream, I saw a wheel like a fan turning inside my abdomen. After I woke up, I began to practice cultivation.
Master often gave me hints. Sometimes, while I practiced meditation, I felt like there was a cyclone inside my body. Many of my meridians and acupuncture points were opened, and I felt a strong energy current going around my body. If I thought about bad things, it felt like my head would hit the wall. While reading the Fa, I saw colorful lights swirling between the words. One time, deep in my mind, someone sang in my dream. After I woke up, I could not remember the lyrics. I just recalled the thought that we have undergone all kinds of hardships throughout our different lifetimes to obtain the Fa. At that time, I thought I was negligible, and I could not realize that we obtained the Fa because we had taken on missions. I was convinced of it after Master taught us the Fa in “Touring North America to Teach the Fa”:
“You only know that some students made pacts with me in the past. When the truth is, there are a lot of other students who came from other cosmic colossal firmaments that are extremely distant and extremely vast, and they came to establish a karmic relationship.”
I was petty-minded and testy before I practiced cultivation. My thought karma was heavy, and it was hard for me to eliminate it.
“The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts.” (“Drive Out Interference” in Essentials for Further Advancement II) and
“As long as you read Dafa, you are changing; as long as you read Dafa, you are elevating.” (“Melt Into the Fa” in Essentials for Further Advancement)
I firmly bear in mind Master’s words. I have read Dafa for two or three hours daily for over 10 years, and I have memorized and recited Zhuan Falun seven times.
Stepping Forward to Validate the Fa
On July 20, 1999 the evil began to persecute Falun Gong. The propaganda and rumors could not sway me, and the persecution could not sway my will to cultivate. I knew that it was correct to go appeal for Dafa, but I thought that I was not good enough to validate Dafa. It wasn't until the Minghui website published Teacher's article “Serious Teaching” in 2000, that I realized I should step forward to validate Dafa.
In October 2000, I arrived in Beijing. At first, I wanted to go back home because of my fear. The fellow practitioners encouraged me to stay to validate Dafa. There were disciples coming to Beijing from all over the country. We shared experiences with each other. Their righteous thoughts and righteous actions, firm faith, as well as the miracles in their cultivation inspired me very much. Once at a Fa conference, while I decided to step forward to validate Dafa, the Falun suddenly started to turn. I knew Master was beside me and was about to offer help whenever we needed it.
When I first arrived in Beijing, I was dependent on others for everything. Later, my fellow practitioners were illegally arrested, and I was left alone. Finally, I became a coordinator among disciples, and arranged the sharing of experiences and for their basic necessities of life. Within 40 days, I went around to distribute truth-clarification flyers and was arrested twice. I suffered cruel beatings. All my experiences in Beijing upgraded my xinxing and provided me with a base to validate Dafa and clarify the truth later.
Saving Sentient Beings
After I arrived back at my hometown, I began to hang up banners and poste messages about the goodness of Dafa. A fellow practitioner and I bought a printer to print truth-clarification materials. While paying for the printer, it seemed as if I floated in mid-air. I knew that was encouragement from Master.
In 2004 I established a materials production site and constantly made truth-clarifying materials. Two years ago, I realized that Shen Yun is an important project to save people. In six months, we produced and distributed 3,000 Shen Yun DVDs.
Once, I was followed by an old man while distributing truth-clarification flyers. I couldn't get away from him, so I stopped to talk with him. I found that he was a Communist Party member, so I told him about the Party's evil nature and that divine beings would eliminate the Party. I told him that only those who quit the Party could survive. The old man accepted the DVD and agreed to quit the Party. I knew it was Master who arranged the chance for me to save him. On New Year’s day, I met the old man again, who seemed to be meeting a relative. I gave him a calendar. He was very excited and said that this was a rare memory.
All such opportunities have been well arranged by Master, who has just been awaiting for us to do it:
“A lot of kings from the heavens, kings of different nationalities, and kings from different eras of history have reincarnated in that place. They are enduring the largest ordeals and pressure, because what they are achieving is not just completing themselves; rather, what they are achieving, shouldering, and putting in is in fact for the sake of their multitude of sentient beings.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the NTDTV Meeting”)
There are many moving stories that occurred while distributing truth-clarification materials. Once, I gave a man a CD. He was glad to have received it and invited me to distribute CDs to others in his village. Many people there accepted the CD and quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
One time I saw four men who looked like officials talking by the road. An idea appeared in my mind,
“Saving people is just that, saving people, and to pick and choose would not be merciful.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference”)
So I took out four DVDs and said to them, “This is a world-class show named Shen Yun, and it is very beautiful.” One of them said, “Ok, I am the village head, but I will not report you.” Then I asked, “Is it ok to distribute this in your village?” He said, “No problem.”
Sometimes people were afraid to accept the CD. But most people were willing after they learned the truth about Dafa and about the persecution. Once, I was afraid to distribute CDs in a crowded place, but right then someone shouted at me, “Give it to him. He wants it.” Then, many other people said that they wanted CDs also. If what we do complies with the Fa, Master will protect us.
Once, I presented two men with two CDs. They told us there was an official up ahead, and persuaded us not to go there. We did not cower. Instead we asked Master to strengthen us. We called out to people, “This is a DVD of the New Year’s Eve party for Chinese all over the world. It is a world-class show.” Quickly we gave out all our DVDs and left.
During the truth-clarification efforts in these years, the gratification of people after learning the truth impressed me deeply. It is urgent that we save all beings, and we should do more.
It is beyond words to express Master’s mercy and the hardships Master has endured to offer salvation to humankind. In order not to fall short of Master’s mercy, we should do the three things well.
