(Minghui.org) The Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance) exhibition was held at the Asian Studies Center at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada on April 4, 2012. Forty artworks by Falun Gong practitioners were displayed.

Exhibition hall

Many faculty members and students visited the exhibition. One professor brought his entire class to the exhibition. Many students from the department of art and music also came. Some of the visitors were from China. They viewed the artworks carefully, and asked questions about Falun Gong. Some Chinese students took pictures of their favorite paintings. One young Chinese student highly praised the artworks. He said the paintings which depicted the Falun Gong practitioners' courage in the face persecution touched him the most.

Dr. Ross King, director of the Asian Studies Center, viewed every piece. He commented that it was a great exhibition, and thanked the practitioners for holding it on campus.

Christian Hendriks, a graduate student, was touched by the paintings, especially the ones which manifested the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. He said that he could feel and understand what the artists were trying to express, and that the paintings which reflected real life were very touching. He also liked the painting “In Harmony.” The ocean showed the inner peace and broad heart of cultivators, he said. He wished to learn more about the artworks and more details about Falun Gong.

A young lady told practitioners that she liked beautiful things, and the beauty of the artworks deeply impressed her. Every painting was special, she said. She asked practitioners to take pictures of her in front of the paintings.

Abdulmohsen Alfozan, a freshman from Africa majoring in business, came to the exhibition with four of his friends. He said the the persecution of Falun Gong in China was not acceptable. “It is so brutal. I can feel it through the paintings,” he said.

The Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren exhibition displays artwork by Falun Gong practitioners that depicts the practice of Falun Gong, the noble spirit of Falun Gong practitioners, and the brutality of the persecution. Since 2004, the exhibition has been held in more than 200 cities around the world.
