(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of December 26, 2011, Liang Shibin, captain of the domestic security team at the Jiangbei District Police Department of Chongqing, and other two police officers broke into Ms. Qin Li's home in Wulidian in the Jiangbei District, Chongqing, claiming they were there to inspect resident registration papers. They then arrested Ms. Qin, who was tutoring her students, and another senior citizen. The police also searched the home and confiscated Ms. Qin's computer, Falun Gong books, MP5, and other personal belongings.

Ms. Qin is currently being held in the Wangxiangtai Brainwashing Center in the Yubei District of Chongqing. The police are trying to force her to give them information about other Falun Gong practitioners. Before being detained, she was taking care of her 99-year-old grandmother and her 78-year-old, bedridden father. Both of them are now on their own.

Ms. Qin is a former employee of Jiangbei Steel Foundry Company. After the company went bankrupt, she lost her job. As she urgently searched for work to support herself and her family, she became over burdened and developed hyperthyroidism. Her neck became abnormally thick and her eyes bulged. The pain was beyond words. In 1997, she started practicing Falun Gong and conducting herself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance and her diseases disappeared.

In 2003, she was sentenced to eight years in prison for refusing to give up her practice of Falun Gong. During her arrest and detention, the police tried to force her to cooperate with them in finding other practitioners, but she refused.

Up to now, her family has not received any legal documents or official notifications about her situation.

According incomplete information, over 30 practitioners from the Jiangbei District of Chongqing were arrested and sent to forced labor camps or imprisoned in 2011. They were: Li Yongying, Xiong Yuzhen, Zhang Fuhai, Tan Qiming, Li Benran, Kong Xiangfen, Tan Xiuming, Tang Xianbi, Tang Binjia, Xue Junque, Yang Chunyuan, Li Changqiong, Zhao Kunbi, Zhang Yuanzhen, Zhang Qinglian, Cao Junlu, Xia Biying, Tang Liquan, Zhang Sizhong, Tang Xianbi, Yao Peisheng, Zhou Shide, Kang Xingbi, Deng Chaoyu, Luo Jiaoyu, Lei Zhirong, Wang Wanxing, Xu Yongxia, Dongjun, Zhou Hongbing, and Qin Li. The list does not include Wang Liuzhen and Chen Changjun, who are elderly and are under 24-hour surveillance. Ms. Xiong Yuzhen, who is on the list, has been detained for almost five months but her exact whereabouts remain unknown.
