Observing Differences in the Portrayal of the Persecution of Falun Gong in this Year's Shen Yun Performances
(Clearwisdom.net) I watched the 2012 Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD again and again. With regards to the three dances related to Falun Gong, I have come to a certain understanding.
After watching Shen Yun DVDs over the past few years, I noticed that the programs that reflected the persecution of Falun Gong in China were always about the practitioners dying as a result of persecution; then the gods and divine beings would fetch them to the heavens.
When I looked again at this year’s performance, I noticed a difference. When persecuted, all the practitioners depicted on stage were filled with righteous thoughts; under Master’s care and the protection of divine beings, the evildoers were filled with fear and escaped. I sensed a clear difference in inner meaning. Perhaps it was because in the past we had not done so well and were unable to keep up with the pace of Fa-rectification. This caused a lot of losses and regret.
Master is right beside us, as he wrote in Hong Yin Vol. II,
“When disciples have ample righteous thoughts
Master has the power to turn back the tide”
(“The Master-Disciple Bond”)
We lacked strong enough righteous thoughts and strong enough faith in Master and the Fa.
The above are just some thoughts of mine in a few words. I am not sure if my understanding is correct. Please point out any shortcomings with compassion.
