(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in five cities or counties and four provinces. In this report, four practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least one practitioner was illegally arrested.
1. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Suyun Arrested
Ms. Zhang Suyun, about 70, was arrested at home on the afternoon of January 17, 2012.
Ms. Zhang was sentenced to two years of forced labor in 2003. At the end of September 2011, she was arrested by officers from the Jiefang Road Police Station and detained for 15 days.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Wenmei Released from the Brainwashing Center
Ms. Gao Wenmei was arrested by officers from the Xiguan Police Station in Weicheng District around May 20, 2011, while speaking with people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked and she was taken to the Weifang Detention Center. Ten days later, she was taken to the Wangcun No. 2 Women's Forced Labor Camp. The camp authorities refused to admit her, as she was very weak. The officers from the Weifang 610 Office and the police department then took her to the Xinhua Road Brainwashing Center. Ms. Gao kept vomiting blood. The police didn't want to be held responsible and notified Ms. Gao's village personnel to take her home.
3. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Mr. Bai Hongmin Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
Xuchang City Court sentenced Mr. Bai Hongmin to four years in prison. Mr. Bai is being held in the Zhengzhou Prison.
4. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Qinghua Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
On the morning of January 6, 2012, Ms. Meng Qinghua, from the Fanjiazhuang Village, Xunshan Town, Rongcheng City, was arrested by officers from the Qingyutan Police Station. She was directly taken to the Rongcheng Detention Center. On January 16, officers from the Rongcheng Domestic Security Division secretly took Ms. Meng to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Wu Li Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
On January 17, 2012, Ms. Wu Li's family was notified that Ms. Wu was sentenced to one year of forced labor in the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp.
