Additional Persecution News from China – December 8, 2012 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties and in 5 provinces. In this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 4 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prisonc

The Fufeng County Court secretly tried Mr. Feng Xinxiang, Mr. Yao Wenhui, Mr. Tian Zhiyao, and Mr. Feng Cunlu on December 5, 2012, without notifying their families. Four practitioners were sentenced to prison with terms varying from one year to two and a half years.

2. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shuping and Ms. Wang Qiurong Detained

Ms. Zhang Shuping and Ms. Wang Qiurong were arrested on December 3, 2012, by officers from the Beicheng Police Station. They are being held at the Liaocheng Detention Center.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Qin Wei Sentenced to Forced Labor

Ms. Qin Wei, a former art teacher at Bayi Middle School in Haidian District, was arrested on November 26, 2012, by community officer Wang Yubo from the Haidian Police Station. She was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Zhuang Yanhhong Sentenced to Forced Labor

Ms. Zhuang Yanhong, a teacher at Beijing University of Technology, was arrested on October 18, 2012, by officers from the Chaoyang District Police Department. She was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor.

5. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Yin Fuliang Arrested

When Mr. Yin Fuliang returned to his hometown in Chaling County, he was arrested at his sister's home in Lushui Town on December 6, 2012, by officers from the Chaling County Domestic Security Division and the local police station.

6. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Zhixiong Taken to Baoding Brainwashing Center

Mr. Yang Zhixiong was arrested at his rental residence in Shunyi District in Beijing on November 3, 2012. He is being detained at the Baoding Brainwashing Center.

7. [Yanting County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Fan Defeng Detained

Mr. Yan Defeng, a retired teacher from Gaofeng Middle School, was arrested by officers from the Yanting County Domestic Security Division and the Gaodeng Town Police Station, while distributing truth-clarification materials on December 5, 2012. His home was ransacked and he was taken to the Yanting County Detention Center that night.

8. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Yubao Sentenced to Prison

The Shifang City Court tried Mr. Zhou Yubao on the morning of November 6, 2012, and sentenced him to a three-year prison term.

9. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jian Yicong Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Jian Yicong was sentenced to three years in prison on November 28, 2012, by the Jingyang District Court.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Quan's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Liu Quan, from Chengdu, had been forced to leave his home for a long period of time. On October 8, 2012, he was arrested while on his way from Luzhou City to Longchang County. His current whereabouts are unknown.
