(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 3 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Cui Hai’s Whereabouts Remain Unknown

Almost two months after Mr. Cui from Wuhan went missing, his family finally received a notice from the police that he had been arrested. The family still hasn’t been informed where he is detained.

3. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guizhi Now Incarcerated at Chaoyangguo Forced Labor Camp

While distributing truth-clarification materials on the afternoon of December 8, Ms. Li was arrested by agents from Dongchaoyanglu Police Station. Ms. Li is currently detained at Chaoyangguo Forced Labor Camp.

4. [Mianyang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Deyu’s Home Ransacked by Police

On the afternoon of December 3, the Gongqu Police Station chief led his subordinates to break into the home of Ms. Xu, a practitioner in her 70s, and turn everything upside down. They confiscated some Dafa books, truth-clarification DVDs, 3 MP3 players and a few other personal items.

5. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Police Extort Money from Three Local Practitioners

Qi Yanguang, a policeman from Qinghe Town Police Station, searched the homes of Mr. Zhang Chuanyi and Ms. Wang Shuying of Xinjian Village on the morning of December 6, 2012. He next took both practitioners to the police station for interrogation. The two practitioners had to each pay 10,000 yuan before being released that afternoon. The police also went to Mr. Mu Shaojun’s home that day, but because he wasn’t home, his son was forced to pay them 10,000 yuan.

6. [Quzhou County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Heping Illegally Arrested

Mr. Li worked at a restaurant in Handan; he was illegally arrested by agents from Fudong Police Station on December 9.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Guo Jing Went Missing in Late September 2012

8. [Changli County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Chunmei Harassed at Home

Several groups of people took turns harassing Ms. Zhou Chunmei in Caituo, Longjiadian Township, on December 8.

9. [Qianxi, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Zhixin’s Husband Believed to be in Police Custody

Ms. Wang Zhixi and her husband went to Qianxi Credit Union to withdraw cash on the night of December 8. As soon as they walked up to the ATM machine, Xu Zhigang and a few others from Qianxi County Domestic Security Division surrounded them. Ms. Wang managed to escape but her husband’s whereabouts remain unknown. It is believed that he has been arrested.

10. [Kunming, Yunnan] Ms. Xu Congying’s Brother Threatened after Her Forced Labor Camp Release

Ms. Xu Congying, a 58-year-old practitioner living on the Haigeng Sports Training Base family compound, was arrested on February 18, 2004 for distributing truth-clarification information. She was first taken to Yiliang County Police Department and then transferred to Yiliang County Detention Center later that night. Six months later Kunming City Court sentenced her to three years with five years of probation. Ms. Xu was released from the detention center in July 2004. Prior to the CCP’s 18th Congress this year, agents from the Dayu Township Police Station went to her brother’s home to harass him.

11. [Qingxin County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang and Her Husband Both Arrested

On the night of October 29, Ms. Zhang and her husband, who both work at the local power supply bureau, had their home ransacked. They were taken to Sanshui Brainwashing Center the next day.

12. [Xuanhua County, Hebei Province] Mr. Xu Tao Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor

After his illegal arrest, Mr. Xu is now serving a two-year term at Hebei Province First Forced Labor Camp located in Kaiping District, Tangshan City.

13. [Yichang, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Chuanhua Remains Missing

Mr. Zhang, a practitioner in his 40s, used to work at Gezhouba First Company in Xiling District. He went missing around 2003 while on a business trip. His whereabouts remain unknown today.
