(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhao Yabin from Tangshan City, Hebei Province was illegally sentenced and sent to Shijiazhuang City Women's Prison. For the past four years her husband, Mr. Zheng Changzhu, has been appealing her case without success. The government agencies related to Ms. Zhao's case have been intentionally delaying his appeal. He is now appealing to the outside world for legal help.

In his letter, Mr. Zheng stated that officers from Wenbei Police Station in Tangshan City, Hebei Province went to his home on July 8, 2008 and arrested Ms. Zhao because she refused to give up her belief. The police also confiscated money and other valuables. They still haven't returned any of the things they took.

Mr. Zheng also stated that Ms. Zhao and her family weren't aware that the police were fabricating evidence, using false confessions signed by their own people and working with prosecutors to get the judge to issue warrants and sentence Ms. Zhao. During the so-called hearing, evidence from the police department were not presented. The family member arranged to defend Ms. Zhao wasn't allowed to speak. When he asked the judge why he wasn't allowed to speak, the judge had him removed for “interfering” with court proceedings. A week later, Ms. Zhao was sentenced to seven years in jail.

Mr. Zheng said that he went to the Intermediate People's Court in Tangshan City to appeal Ms. Zhao's case. However, they didn't even bother to consider his appeal and rejected it immediately. Ms. Zhao's family were upset about the rejection. Then, they went to the Second-Level Court to appeal, but to no avail. Four years have gone by without an answer.

More details of Ms. Zhao's persecution has been documented in the following article written on November 11, 2009:
