Engineer Mr. Liang Jinshu Becomes Paralyzed in Detention Center, Court Plans to Sentence Him to 10 Years in Prison

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liang Jinshu was arrested at his rental home on Liancao Street in the Xiangfang District of Harbin City on July 5, 2012, by officers from the Jinxiang Street Police Station in the Xiangfang District. Another practitioner, Ms. Wang Xiaoju, was arrested at the same time. Mr. Liang was taken to the Xiangfang District Detention Center, and Ms. Wang was taken to the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center. After only three months, Mr. Liang became paralyzed on one side of his body and totally incontinent. He was released on medical parole in mid-October.

Mao Linchang, case worker at the Domestic Security Division of the Xiangfang Police Department, claimed, “The court is going to sentence Liang Jinshu to 10 years in prison.”

Mr. Liang, originally from Baoquanling Agricultural Reclamation in Luobei County, Hegang City, had been working in Binxi Town, Bin County, Harbin City, in recent years.

Back on November 9, 2011, officers from the 610 Office of Baoquanling Agricultural Reclamation and the local police department arrested four practitioners, including Mr. Liu Haibin and Ms. Jiang Zhihui. The police ransacked their homes, then drove more than 250 miles to Binxi Town in Bin County, in an attempt to arrest Mr. Liang Jinshu. He was not there, so they broke into his home and ransacked it.

In March 2012, officers from the Gongqing Police Department in Luobei County went to Mr. Liang's workplace in Binxi Town and attempted to arrest him. Mr. Liang had to leave home and went to Harbin to find a job.

Ms. Wang Xiaoju was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is being held in Qianjin Forced Labor Camp in Harbin.
