(Minghui.org) Ms. Chen Bingyu is a Falun Gong practitioner in Wuxi, Jiangsu. During the past 13 years of persecution, Ms. Chen's husband, who was also a practitioner, died because of the endless harassment. She spent a total of eight years in forced labor camps, prisons, and brainwashing centers. On October 13, 2012, Ms. Chen was seized again. She is now incarcerated in Wuxi Brainwashing Center (address: 288, Gonghu Boulevard, Wuxi City). Another practitioner, Ms. Wang Jinyuan, was arrested on the same day.

At the beginning of the persecution in 1999, Ms. Chen's husband, Mr. Jiang Jinlong, was forced to report to the Public Security Bureau in Wuxi every day. The police forced him to read an article they had written to slander and defame Falun Gong. They videotaped him reading the article and repeatedly played the video on Wuxi Broadcast Television and Jiangsu Television. They also forced him to be an informer. Due to the tremendous mental pressure, Mr. Jiang killed himself. On the day he was cremated, there were police officers all over the funeral home.

Ms. Chen was picked up at night on July 19, 1999, and held for two weeks. She was later detained for 37 days. In October 1999, she was illegally sentenced to a year of forced labor and was held at the Wuxi Second Detention Center. During her detention, her husband committed suicide and the authorities concealed the information from her. Later her sister visited her in the detention center and told her what had happened to her husband. When Ms. Chen protested, the authorities quickly transferred her to Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu to intensify the persecution.

In May 2001, officers from the Public Security Bureau of the Beitang District in Wuxi took her to Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp and sentenced her to three years. She was forced to do slave labor from dawn to midnight with only a few hours of rest every day. The products she was forced to make included embroidered slippers, dolls, clothes, tents, and Christmas trees, which were all export goods.

In December 2005, Ms. Chen was again seized and taken to Wuxi Brainwashing Center. She was incarcerated and brainwashed for six months. During this time she was tortured. She was not allowed to sleep or wash. The staff rubbed mentholated balm in her eyes and nose, and forced her to wear a helmet and bashed her in the head with a bat. The staff drew a small circle on the ground and forced her to stand inside the circle for a long period of time. If she accidentally stepped outside the circle, she would step on Teacher's name that was written outside of the circle.

In July 2007, the Jiaxing City Court sentenced Ms. Chen to three and half years in prison. She was held in Zhejiang Women's Prison until January 2011.

On October 13, 2012, the Chinese regime seized Ms. Chen in Wuxi and are holding her in the Wuxi Brainwashing Center.
