Additional Persecution News from China – November 1, 2012 (29 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 18 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. He Jianzhong and His Sister Arrested

Chief Feng of the Domestic Security Division of Qilihe Police Department in Lanzhou City and others burst into Mr. He Jianzhong's gallery and arrested him on the afternoon of October 27, 2012. They confiscated his computer and all cash in the shop.

When Mr. He's sister went to his shop on October 29, 2012, she was also arrested by officers from the Qilihe Police Department; they were searching the shop at the time. She was taken to the Chengguan District Police Department. She was released after her family wrote a guarantee statement for her, promising that she would no longer practice Falun Gong.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Lu Xiuzhen and Ms. Wei Shuqin Detained

Ms. Lu Xiuzhen, 65, from Zhongfule Village, Huairou District in Beijing, was sentenced twice to a forced labor camp. She was arrested again by officers from the Huairou Domestic Security Division on September 29, 2012.

Ms. Wei Shuqin, around 58 years old, was also sentenced twice to a forced labor camp. She was arrested again by officers from the Huairou Domestic Security Division on September 30, 2012. Her computer, Falun Gong materials and other personal items, worth 5,000 yuan, were confiscated.

Both women are being held at the Nihe Detention Center in Shunyi District, Beijing.

3. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Several dozen officers from the Hengyang City Domestic Security Division, Leiyang City Domestic Security Division, Caizichi Police Station and Leiyang 610 Office pried open Ms. Xiong Qiuling's security door, ransacked her home and arrested her on the evening of October 28, 2012.

Ms. Huang Duohong from Xiangtan City and Ms. Liu Shiqing from Leiyang 5^th High School were arrested along with Ms. Xiong while they were visiting her.

Ms. Xiong is being held at the Leiyang Detention Center. Ms. Liu was released on October 29 after officials extorted 4,000 yuan. Ms. Huang was taken away by Hengyang Domestic Security Division. Her whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Pi County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Wei'an and Mr. Zhang Rui Arrested

Mr. Wang Wei'an and Mr. Zhang Rui from the Hejiafang area of You'ai Town, Pi County, were arrested by Liang Bo, head of the Deyuan Town Comprehensive Management Office, on the evening of October 26, 2012. Their computers and other equipment used to make Falun Gong informational materials were confiscated.

5. [Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Zelin Arrested

Mr. Sun Zelin was arrested by five officers from the Yanji Domestic Security Division on the morning of October 27, 2012, leaving no one to care for his 70-year old mother who has cerebral thrombosis.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Liuqing Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Zhang Liuqing from Hesheng Town, Wenjiang District, was arrested by a group of plainclothes police officers on the morning of October 30, 2012. His whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Many Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yuexiang was arrested by officer Shu Yong and other people from the Hexi Police Station while she was visiting Ms. Yang Man'ai on October 19, 2012. The police ransacked Ms. Yang's home.

Officials from the Hecheng District 610 Office and officers from the Tuanjie Police Station in Huaihua City burst into Ms. Tao Yuan's rented place on the morning of October 20, 2012, in an attempt to arrest her. However, Ms. Tao was at work at the time. The police pried open her door and ransacked her home.

Ms. Li Yulian shares the rented place with Ms. Tao; her space was also ransacked. The police arrested Ms. Li and took her to the Tuanjie Police Station. Ms. Long, who came by to visit Ms. Li at home, was also arrested. Ms. Li and Ms. Long were released around midday.

Police also ransacked the home of Ms. Li Ping on October 20, 2012. They confiscated Falun Gong materials, cash, laptops, MP3 players, cell phones and other items from these practitioners.

The following practitioners have also recently been arrested and are being held at the Huaihua City Detention Center: Ms. Zhou Yuexiang, Ms. Jiang Changxian, Ms. Wei Guamei and Ms. Chen Kaiyu. Ms. Tang Qingying's whereabouts is unknown.

8. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Suqin and Ms. Qiao Fengcong Under House Arrest at Farmyard

Officials from the Ji County 610 Office, Office of Maintaining Stability and police station in Tianjin put Ms. Liu Suqin and Ms. Qiao Fengcong under house arrest at the farmyard, citing the upcoming 18th Communist Party Congress.

9. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Mai Yuefa and His Wife Arrested

Husband and wife Mr. Mai Yuefa and Ms. Chen Jiequn were arrested by the local police and Mo Yongjian, head of the Yuncheng District 610 Office in Yunfu City, on October 24, 2012. Their whereabouts are unknown. They were harassed by Mo Yongjian many times before their arrest.

10. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lu Zhengxue and Ms. Gao Chengmei Arrested

Mr. Lu Zhengxue and Ms. Gao Chengmei were arrested.

11. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhu Shouqing and Ms. Xu Chunxiang Arrested

Mr. Zhu Shouqing from Xiantao City was arrested at home by officials from the local 610 Office and the local police station at around midday on October 29, 2012. Mr. Zhu was taken to the Magang Brainwashing Center in Xiantao City.

Ms. Xu Chunxiang from Changchangkou Town was also arrested.

12. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Yongjun Arrested

Mr. Gao Yongjun was arrested at his workplace on the morning of October 29, 2012, by officers from the Chengzihe District Police Department.

13. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Attempt to Arrest Ms. Wang Shulan

Officials from the Chengzihe District Political and Legal Affairs Committee, 610 Office and officers from the Chengdong Police Station in Jixi City burst into Ms. Wang Shulan's home on the morning of October 28, 2012. They attempted to arrest her, but she was not home.

14. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Over 10 officers from the Guozhengyang Police Station and Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Xu Yaxuan when he came home on the morning of October 30, 2012. His home was ransacked.

In the afternoon on the same day, Mr. Han Zhirong and Ms. Sun Zhongying from Heilin Town were arrested by officers from the local Domestic Security Division and Heilin Police Station.

Ms. Xu Yanhui from Wukeshu Town was arrested by officers from the Wukeshu Police Station.

15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Fangbin Forced into Homelessness to Avoid Arrest

Mr. Wang Fangbin from the Yixi area of Longfeng District, Daqing City, was forced to leave his home, as the police from Wolitun Police Department planned to arrest him.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Xiuqing Transferred to Beijing Police Hospital

Ms. Wang Xiuqing, who was previously arrested, has been transferred to the Beijing Police Hospital.

17. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Chunfang Harassed

Ms. Liu Chunfang, 75, from Taiyuan City was harassed by officers from the local police station twice.

Police station deputy director Zhang Wensheng and three officers from the local police station burst into Ms. Liu's home on June 30, 2012. They took her to the local police station and forced her to have her fingerprints, photo and blood test taken.

Zhang Wensheng and other officers then came to harass Ms. Liu again on the afternoon of October 26, 2012. They took many photos of her home.

18. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Xiaolan and Two Others Arrested

Director of the Kangzhuang Town Police Station and 8 other officers arrested Ms. Xu Xiaolan from Kangzhuang Town on October 25, 2012. Ms. Xu's Falun Gong books, an MP3 player and 3 copies of Minghui Weekly were confiscated. Ms. Xu was handcuffed and taken to the Kangzhuang Town Police Station. Her hands were injured from the handcuffs being too tight. She was then taken to the hospital for a physical. She was released after being detained overnight at the police station.

Ms. Mao Lanxin and Ms. Zhang Xiuyun were arrested at the same time. Ms. Mao is being held at the Gaomi Detention Center. Ms. Zhang was released.

19. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yu Xiaoxia Arrested

Ms. Yu Xiaoxia from Xinzhou District was arrested by officers from the Yangluo Street Police Station on October 26, 2012.

20. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xiao Xiangyu Transferred to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Xiao Xiangyu was arrested on April 23, 2012, and taken to the Baoding Detention Center on April 25. She has recently been transferred to the Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp.

21. [Beijing] Ms. Qin Wei Missing

Ms. Qi Wei was an art teacher at Beijing 8-1 High School. She has been missing since October 26, 2012.

22. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Yaxuan and Ms. Zhang Zhenqiu Arrested

Ms. Xu Yaxuan was arrested at home by officials from the Yushu City 610 Office and police from the local Domestic Security Division on October 30, 2012. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Zhang Zhenqiu from Fuan Town, Yushu City, was also arrested.

23. [Chongqing] Mr. Lin Decai and His Family Harassed

Mr. Lin Decai from Jiulongpo District was arrested and sentenced to forced labor many times. He was tortured physically and mentally in detention, and was fired by his company after he was released.

On September 19, 2012, a group of people from the Sancun Residential Committee in Xiejiawan area, Jiulongbo District, went to Mr. Lin's home, but couldn't find him there. They then sent people to Mr. Lin's hometown to arrest him on October 9, 2012, but he was not there either. Officials from Sancun Residential Committee then sent two people to the Jianshe No. 2 Elementary School and asked his eight-year-old son for the phone number of his parents.

24. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Jinba's Home Ransacked

Mr. Zhou Jinba is a demobilized military soldier. His home was ransacked on October 30, 2012, by Zhou Yingqi from Pengzhou City Domestic Security Division, Qiao Lijun from Pengzhou 610 Office and some others, totaling 7-8 people. His Falun Gong materials and a 24-carat gold necklace worth over 10,000 yuan were confiscated.

25. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Guang Arrested

Mr. Li Guang from Bayuquan District was arrested by Wang Hongkui and other police from Bayuquan District Domestic Security Division on October 30, 2012. His two computers and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

26. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Ailing and Mr. He Jianzhong Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Ailing and Mr. He Jianzhong were arrested by officers from the Chengguan District 610 Office on October 27 and 28, 2012, respectively. They are being held at the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center.

27. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Gu Shuhua and Ms. Zhang Chunhua Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Gu Shuhua and Ms. Zhang Chunhua are being held at the brainwashing center in Dongwu Hotel.

28. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Guo Lirong Arrested

Ms. Guo Lirong was arrested at home on October 30, 2012.

29. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lan Huiping Detained

Ms. Lan Huiping was arrested at a shop and taken to the Shawan Town Detention Center in Panyu District. Her family is not allowed to see her.
