(Minghui.org) On June 28, 2012, officers from the local State Security Bureau deceived and arrested Mr. Kuang Liang, a practitioner from the Wanzhou District of Chongqing City. They took him to Hongguang Police Station, and later detained him at the Zhoujiaba Drug-Rehabilitation Reformatory. For a period of time his whereabouts were unknown. Recently informants said that Mr. Kuang Liang had been taken to the Wanzhou District Mental Hospital, where he was severely tortured. He is now in critical condition.

This is the second time that Mr. Kuang Liang has been taken to a mental hospital. Twelve years ago he had been forced to take psychotropic drugs.

At noon on June 28, 2012, an officer from the local State Security Bureau, Mr. Kuang Liang’s acquaintance, tricked him out of his home with the excuse of discussing business with him. Mr. Kuang took it seriously. However, soon after he left his home, three police officers rushed out and arrested him, and took him to the Hongguang Police Station. The police took away Mr. Kuang’s keys, broke into his former wife’s home, broke open the cupboards, and confiscated much of their personal property.

The police later took Mr. Kuang to the Zhoujiaba Drug-Rehabilitation Reformatory in the Wanzhou District. Mr. Kuang held a hunger strike there to protest the persecution. Four days later his whereabouts were unknown. Recently, informants said that the Wanzhou District Police Bureau had sentenced him to one and a half years of forced labor. However, soon after that he was detained in the Wanzhou District Mental Hospital, where he was persecuted. He is now in critical condition.

Twelve years ago, local police had taken him to the mental hospital and persecuted him. In 2000, police from Longbao Police Bureau arrested Mr. Kuang while he was practicing the Falun Gong exercises on the square. Fu Chao, Li Longquan, Zhang Yong, and other policemen from Section 1, Longbao Police Bureau forced him into a cross shape and beat his chest and abdomen violently until he passed out. Mr. Kuang was in coma for seven days. When he woke up, the police took him to Pipaping Mental Hospital in the Wanzhou District, where he was forced to take psychotropic drugs. It’s said that they attempted to make him suffer memory loss. Mr. Kuang Liang’s face became deformed from taking the drugs. When he was released from the mental hospital, he was delirious.

During the past years, officers from the Wanzhou District 610 Office and the Wanzhou District Police Bureau have been following, monitoring, and threatening Mr. Kuang Liang constantly.
