Additional Persecution News from China – October 11, 2012 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties and in 15 provinces. In this report, 22 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Bangbu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Cui Huaifen Becomes Homeless About eight officers from the Hongye Village Police Station and the local Domestic Security Division in Bangbu City ransacked Ms. Cui Huaifen's home and took photos on January 18, 2012. They brought Ms. Cui to the Hongye Village Police Station, detained and interrogated her for 12 hours, and then took her to the local detention center in the evening. She was released because she was very ill.

Five officers from the Hongye Village Police Station and the local police department burst into Ms. Cui's home less than a month later, on February 8, 2012, and tried to take her away. Ms. Cui had no choice but to leave home to avoid being persecuted.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] More information on Mr. Zhang Jun and Ms. Hu Yuzhen's Arrest

Officers from the Yongsheng Town 610 Office and a police station in Wenjiang District burst into Mr. Zhang Jun and Ms. Hu Yuzhen's repair shop. The officers confiscated their computer, printer, and other items. Mr. Zhang was taken to the police station for four and a half hours and was then released. He was beaten by the police during his detention. The police threatened them and told them that they are not allowed to run a shop in Yongsheng Town anymore.

4. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Deng Liangcun and Ms. Fu Guiying Tried Secretly

Ms. Deng Liangcun and Ms. Fu Guiying, both from Linyi City, were arrested on June 6, 2012 and held at the Linyi Detention Center. Ms. Fu has been on a protest hunger strike since she was arrested. She has become very weak and all of her hair has turned white. The Linyi City Court secretly put them on trial on October 8, and did not inform their family members and lawyer.

5. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wuyi Transferred from Xianning City Detention Center to Banqiao Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City on October 9, 2012

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Yonghang Transferred to Tieling Prison Hospital for Further Persecution

Mr. Wang Yonghang is a lawyer. He was illegally sentenced to seven years in prison. He developed pulmonary edema and pleural effusion during his detention in the Shenyang City No. 1 Prison. Prison officials, the Dalian 610 Office, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the local Domestic Security Division worked together to transfer Mr. Wang to Tieling Prison Hospital in mid-August to continue persecuting him.

7. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhang En'rong and Ms. Yang Cuihong Arrested

Ms. Zhang En'rong, Ms. Yang Cuihong, and five other practitioners from Anshun City were arrested on August 27, 2012. According to sources, the local police department approved arrest warrants for Ms. Zhang En'rong and Ms. Yang Cuihong on September 29.

8. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp Doesn't Let Ms. Tan Meili's Family Visit Her

Ms. Tan Meili from the Yong'an Village development zone in Jiujiang City was taken to the Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp at the end of September 2012. Her husband went to Nanchang City to see his wife, but was denied entry. The camp authorities used the excuse that her husband is a Falun Gong practitioner.

Officers from the De'an County Police Department ransacked Ms. Tan's home and confiscated her two copies of the book Zhuan Falun and some DVDs.

9. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Hua and Three Other Practitioners Arrested

Four older practitioners from Siheng Road, Yuan Village, Tianhe in Guangzhou City were arrested on September 25, 2012. One of them, Ms. Li Hua, is over 60 years old and lives near Carrefour supermarket. She and her daughter (a non-practitioner) were taken to the Yuan Village Police Station. Her home was ransacked. Her computer, printer, cell phone, books, and other items were confiscated. Her daughter was released the following day. Ms. Li was transferred to the Zengcha Road Brainwashing Center. The other three practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Hunan Province] Six Practitioners Still Detained at Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Liu Yong, Mr. Yi Zhiyuan, Mr. Tan Jieliang, Ms. Yi Weicheng, Mr. Xie Chaoyan, and Mr. Zhao Wenke are still being held at Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp.

11. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Yanqun on the Verge of Death

Ms. Song Yanqun's father went to Changchun Women's Prison in Jilin Province to visit his daughter on October 9, 2012, but Wu Zeyun, the chief guard, did not allow him to see her. Ms. Song is in critical condition; she has been on a hunger strike for six and a half months.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gao Feng Arrested, Her Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Gao Feng was followed and arrested while she was putting up truth-clarification posters on October 5, 2012. She was taken to the Jincheng Police Station. Her whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Che Zhongshan Locked Up in a Small Cell

Mr. Che Zhongshan from Jinzhou in Dalian City was arrested on July 6, 2012. He was locked up in a small isolation cell at the Dalian City Detention Center for over 40 days. He started a hunger strike in August. There has been no news about him since then.

Ms. Ren Zhimin from Mudanjiang City was arrested at Suifenhe area while she was clarifying the truth.

15. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Limei Developed High Blood Pressure at the Zhaohua Detention Center and Cannot Sit as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Liu Li, Ms. Liu Chunhong, and Ms. Liang Xin went to the Laodong Street Police Station in Wuhan City to ask for a practitioner's cellphone back. They have not been seen since then.

17. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Meiqin Arrested

Ms. Wang Meiqin from South Zhaojia Village, Taibaozhuang Street was arrested during the early morning on September 6, 2012. Ms. Wang's Falun Gong books, DVDs, Master Li Hongzhi's picture, two MP3 players, and a MP4 player were all confiscated. She was held at the Taibaozhuang Police Station for a day and then transferred to the Weifang Detention Center. She was held there for 28 days before being released on October 4, 2012.

18. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Xiaoxia Detained for a Month; Her Mother Has Become Blind in One Eye Due to Worrying about Her

Ms. Li Xiaoxia works as an engineer for a company in Pingfang District, Harbin City. She was arrested on May 2002 and was sentenced to three years at Wanjia Detention Center. Her father died during her detention, leaving her mother alone. Ms. Li was finally released in the summer of 2005.

Ms. Li was arrested again on September 1, 2012, while she was clarifying the truth. She was taken to the detention center. Her mother has become blind in her left eye as a result of worry and stress.

19. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Juxiu Taken to Brainwashing Center Again

More than ten officers from the Yueyang City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office burst into Ms. Huang Juxiu's home and arrested her on September 2, 2012. She was taken to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center in Changsha City, Hunan Province.

Ms. Huang is 60 years old and works at Renmin Transport Company. She has been persecuted many times because she practices Falun Gong. She has been arrested nine times and illegally sentenced to four years in prison. Her company stopped her wages nine years ago.

20. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xu Fei Arrested Again

Mr. Xu Fei is a teacher from Laohekou County in Xiangyang City. He was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. After he was released, he was sentenced to four years in prison and suffered tremendously. He was arrested on October 8, 2012 by three officers from the Laohekou Police Department. The location where he is being held is unknown.
