Additional Persecution News from China – October 5, 2012 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. He Meiyun Sentenced to 4.5 Years in Prison

1. [Shanghai] Ms. He Meiyun Sentenced to 4.5 Years in Prison

Ms. He Meiyun from Shanghai was arrested by agents from the Changning District 610 Office on the afternoon of May 11, 2011. Her home was ransacked. Ms. She has been sentenced to 4.5 years in prison.

2. [Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Guifang Passed Away Due to Persecution

Ms. Xu Guifang from Tongchuan City was released from the Shaanxi Women's Forced Labor Camp on September 14, 2012, in an extremely weak condition due to being severely persecuted. She passed away on the afternoon of October 3, 2012

3. [Huixian, Henan Province] Mr. Hou Yuan Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison

Mr. Hou Yuan from Huixian was sentenced to 8 years in prison on September 27, 2012. Officers from the Huixian 610 Domestic Security Division sent him to the Zhengzhou Prison in Xinmi City.

4. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Many Practitioners Arrested

Many practitioners in Xinxiang City were arrested. After being held for over 3 months, they were prosecuted by Muye District Procuratorate in Xinxiang City. Practitioners prosecuted include Mr. Zheng Xingquan, 66, Ms. Guo Shengl, 60, Ms. Yang Lichun, Ms. Zhao Meizhen, 77, Ms. Li Meihua, 68, and Mr. Liu Yuhai, over 60.

5. [Beijing] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wei Jingfang, Mr. Sun Aimin, Mr. Cai Changhe, Ms. Wang Xiulan, Ms. Yao Guiyun, Mr. Shi Qingwen, Ms. Xu HuiZhen and Ms. Shi Fuqin from Shunyi District in Beijing were arrested during August and September 2012.

6. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wu Yi and Ms. Zhang Moxiang Arrested

Mr. Wu Yi and Ms. Zhang Moxiang from Xianning City were taken to the Xianning Detention Center for explaining the facts about Falun Gong on October 2, 2012.

7. [Dongsheng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Zhang Zhiyong Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zhiyong from Wei County, Hebei Province, is 44 years old and worked for the Taihuajinjiang Hotel in Kangbashi New District, Dongsheng City, Inner Mongolia. He was reported to the police by his boss for talking about Falun Gong and consequently arrested. His whereabouts are unknown.
