(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties and in 14 provinces. In this report, 28 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 35 practitioners were illegally arrested.

2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] More Information on the Arrest of Mr. Chen Guangwu

Mr. Chen Guangwu was arrested by officers from the Helong Police Department on September 6, 2012, while distributing Falun Gong informational materials. He is still detained.

4. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yan, in her 40s, was arrested by officers from the Donglai Police Station during the morning on September 16, 2012. Ms. Wang is being held at the Longkou City Detention Center. Ms. Tang Jurong, Ms. Xing Ni, and Ms. Han Wenmei are also detained there.

5. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Guofang Arrested in Early September by Yushu Domestic Security Team

Ms. Wang Fengzhen, 76, and Ms. Sun Shuzhen, 77, were arrested at Ms. Yu's home while they were reading Falun Gong books on September 13, 2012. They were taken to the Baotuquan Police station. Police officers ransacked the three practitioners' homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, photographs of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong informational materials, and other personal belongings. The police also confiscated more than 7,000 yuan from Ms. Wang's home. Ms. Wang was released on the same day. Ms. Sun's situation is unknown.

8. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wei Zaifang Taken to Yibin Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wei Zaifang, from Xingwen County, were arrested by officers from the Xingwen 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division in early September 2012. Her home was ransacked. She is being held at the Yibin Brainwashing Center.

9. [Shanghai] Ms. Jiang Linying Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

Ms. Jiang Linying was sentenced to five years in prison by Zhabei District Court on September 10, 2012.

10. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Yali in Critical Condition

Ms. Huang Yali was taken to the Anlu Brainwashing Center on September 11, 2012. She has been on a hunger strike for over a week. Her blood pressure had reached 180 mmHg (normal blood pressure is around 130 mmHg). Ms. Huang is in critical condition.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Tortured in Harbin Women's Prison

In an attempt to “transform” practitioners, personnel at Harbin Women's Prison use different torture methods. Many practitioners have been forced to sit on small stools for 24 hours and not allowed to sleep, including Ms. Jiang Yuehong, Ms. Li Yaoguang, Ms. Lin Xiumei, Ms. Wu Xiaohong, Ms. Li Xiuqin, Ms. Yan Chongzhi, and Ms. Dai Lixia. Some of them developed pustules on the buttocks, causing them to have difficulty walking. Ms. Wang Jidan was locked in a small cell four times during a five-month span. Her health has severely deteriorated.

12. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Huang Shumin Detained

Ms. Huang Shumin was arrested by officers from the Jiaonan Police Station in the evening on September 7, 2012, while distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She has been held at the Jiaozuo City Detention Center ever since.

13. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Bai Youxi Arrested

Ms. Bai Youxi is from Simen Village, Nanhu Town, Zhuanglang County, Pingliang City. She was followed and arrested by three officers from the Nanhu Police Station on September 18, 2012, while going to her relative's home. She was taken to the Nanhu Police Station.

14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaojuan and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaojuan, Ms. Lu Guiying, and Ms. Han Shuying while speaking with people about Falun Gong, were arrested by security guards from Guoyi Special Steel Ltd., and officers from the Yingezhuang Police Station on September 14, 2012. The police ransacked the three practitioners' homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, cellphones, printers, Shen Yun DVDs, cash, and other personal belongings. All three practitioners were taken to the Luan County Detention Center. Ms. Han later escaped.

15. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Hongjie Abused in a Brainwashing Center

Four officers from the Heilin Town Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Hongjie's home during the morning on August 27, 2012. They ransacked the house and arrested Mr. Wang. Mr. Wang was taken to a brainwashing center located at the Economic Relations & Trade Commission Hotel. Ms. Wang was beaten and tortured, and forced to watch a video that slandered Falun Gong.

16. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Wenlong Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Four officers from the Tuqiao Town Police Station broke into Mr. Zhang Wenlong's home during the morning of August 27, 2012. They forcibly took away Mr. Zhang and sent him to a brainwashing center.

17. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Suzhi Taken to a Brainwashing Center After Finishing a Forced Labor Term

Ms. Yu Suzhi, from Hetan Town, Hanting District, was taken to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp to serve a one-year term. After finishing her term, she was taken to the Zhuli Brainwashing Center by Hanting District 610 Office, because she refused to renounce Falun Gong.

18. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Fajuan and Ms. Zheng Yulan Arrested

Ms. Wang Fajuan and Ms. Zheng Yulan were arrested on September 18, 2012, by officers from the Chengfeng Police Department, including director He Weiping. Ms. Zheng was released that night. Ms. Wang is still being detained.

19. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Duan Chunwei and Her Mother Arrested

Ms. Duan Chunwei and her mother were arrested by officers from the Jinchuan Road Police Station on September 17, 2012.

20. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Shaozhou Arrested

Mr. Ma Shaozhou went to the farmers' market to take down posters that slandered Falun Gong in the evening of September 17, 2012. He was arrested by officers from the Luannan County Domestic Security Division, who had been waiting and monitoring the area. Mr. Ma was taken to the Luannan County Police Department.

21. [Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wang Lanfen Abused in Yunnan Second Women's Prison

Ms. Wang Lanfen, 48, is an employee of the Honghe Infectious Disease Hospital. She was arrested in July 2010 by officers from the Honghe and Gejiu Domestic Security Team. She was sentenced to four years in prison and is being incarcerated in Seventh Prison District of Yunnan Second Women's Prison. As she refused to renounce Falun Gong, she was abused so severely that she spit up blood. She is disfigured and is in serious condition.

22. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Gao Bizhen Arrested

Ms. Gao Bizhen was arrested on September 18, 2012, while talking to people about Falun Gong in Qiaokou District. She is being held at the Hanjiadun Police Station.

23. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] More Information on the Arrests of Ms. Jiang Yanyan and Ms. Zhang Yurong

Ms. Jiang Yanyan and Ms. Guo Shuhua's daughter went to the Fusong Police Department on August 29, 2012, to request the release of Ms. Guo Shuhua, Ms. Xiang Lianjie, and Ms. Zhang Ruiqiu. The police refused their requests and detained Ms. Jiang. Ms. Zhang Yurong went to Ms. Jiang's home that afternoon and was also arrested. The police ransacked Ms. Jiang's home and confiscated a computer, printer, DVDs, printing paper, and other personal belongings.

Ms. Zhang Yurong was released after 16 days of detention. Ms. Jiang is being held at the Fusong Detention Center.

24. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Jun, Mr. Liu Zhenrong, and Ms. Sun Guozhen Arrested

Mr. Yang Jun, Mr. Liu Zhenrong, and Ms. Sun Guozhen were arrested on their way to the countryside on September 15, 2012. They are being held at Aohan.

25. [Wuhan County, Hubei Province] Mr. Chen Gang Arrested

Mr. Chen Gang, a teacher of the Wuhan Technological University, was arrested at work by officers from the Wuhan Police Department First Division. His current whereabouts are unknown.

26. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Bohua Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Lu Bohua has been taken to the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp on September 14, 2012, by officers from the Hualin Road Police Station, to serve 15 months of forced labor.

27. [Luquan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Guifang and Ms. Dong Pingmei Detained

Ms. Dong Guifang and Ms. Dong Pingmei, from Taitou Village, Shangzhuang Town, Luquan, were arrested on the morning of September 14, 2012, on their way to Dawangmiao Village to hand out Falun Gong informational materials. They are being held at the Shijiazhuang Detention Center.

28. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Pengwei Detained

Mr. Zhang Pengwei was arrested on August 24, 2012, by officers from the Jimo City 610 Office. He is being held at the Jimo City Detention Center.

29. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Geng Lihong Arrested

Ms. Geng Lihong was followed and located while telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the Internet. She was arrested by officers from the Anshan Police Department on August 24, 2012 and her home was ransacked.

30. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Shijun and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Li Shijun and his wife were arrested at home by officers from the Jinzhou 610 Office on September 19, 2012. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

31. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xiao Kun, Ms. Xiao Yang, and Ms. Hou Yinghua Incarcerated

Ms. Xiao Kun, Ms. Xiao Yang, and Ms. Hou Yinghua were transferred from the Harbin Second Detention Center to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison on September 19, 2012. Ms. Hou's husband, Mr. Zhang Shengguo, will be sent to Hulan Prison.

All four practitioners were arrested on December 31, 2011. Ms. Xiao Kun and her sister Ms. Xiao Yang were sentenced to seven years in prison. Ms. Hou and Mr. Zhang were sentenced to nine years in prison.

32. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Huang Daoming Detained

Mr. Huang Daoming was arrested at home on August 22, 2012. Police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials, and DVDs. Mr. Huang is being held at the Chang'an Second Detention Center.

33. [Danyang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xia Zhengqing Arrested

Mr. Xia Zhengqing was arrested by officers from the Hepingqiao Police Station in the evening on September 18, 2012, while handing out Falun Gong informational materials.
