(Clearwisdom.net) On June 24, 2011, Mr. Jin Yuan was illegally sentenced at Zhuhai City Xiangzhou District Court to eight and a half years in prison. Mr. Jin was a performer in the Anhui Province Song and Dance Troupe, and lives in Zhuhai.

Previously, at around 8:00 a.m. on November 10, 2010, two Xiangzhou Domestic Security agents from the Zhuhai Public Security Department ransacked his home and arrested him. The agents, Lai Haizhong and Ju Xuecan, searched his home until the afternoon, and confiscated his personal checkbook, among other things. Mr. Jin was then detained in the Zhuhai Number Two Detention Center before being sentenced.

Mr. Jin had won second prize at the National Youth Erhu Music Competition. He began to practice Falun Gong in 1998.
