Ms. Mu Meishu Arrested in Beijing and Taken Back to Qingdao

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Mu Meishu was arrested during a police inspection in a hotel in Beijing on the morning of August 5, 2011. According to sources from inside China, Ms. Mu was reading an electronic book at the time of her arrest.
On August 12, officers from the Jinmen Road Police Station, Shinan District 610 Office, and the Jinmen Road Sub-District Office went to Beijing and brought Ms. Mu back to Qingdao. The police took her to the Qingdao Detention Center, but detention center authorities refused to admit her because she did not pass the physical. Ms. Mu is currently being held in the basement of the Jinmen Road Police Station.
Ms. Mu went to Beijing on business on the afternoon of August 4. She stayed in a hotel near the Liangmaqiao Subway Station in the Chaoyang District. She was arrested in the hotel at around 8:20 a.m. the next day. Ms. Mu called her family to let them know about her arrest but hung up quickly. When her family called back, the person answering the call said that it was a public telephone and that the police had told him to guard a woman who had been arrested there not long before.
At around 10:00 a.m. on August 5, personnel from the Xianyou Road Sub-district Office called Ms. Mu's family and demanded to know where she was. When her family told them that she was on a business trip in Beijing, the caller criticized Ms. Mu's family for not telling them about the trip beforehand. At around 5:00 p.m., officers from the Jinmen Road Police Station called Ms. Mu's family, saying that she had been arrested for handing out leaflets about Falun Gong and that the Beijing police had ordered them to Beijing to bring her back.
