Additional Persecution News from China – August 3, 2011 (13 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties in 12 provinces. As per this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 35 practitioners were illegally arrested

1. [Chongqing] Five Practitioners Held in a Brainwashing Center

Yongchuan District 610 Office agents arrested a dozen practitioners on June 15, 2011. The following six practitioners were released on the afternoon of July 27: Ms. Hu Yuzhen, Mr. Luo Mingyou, Mr. Dai Dakui, Ms. Wu, Mr. Li Chaogui and Ms. Lin Zongmei. Five others are still in a brainwashing center. They are: Mr. Kuang Minhua, Mr. Tang Shixiao, Mr. Xu Keqin, Ms. Li Ermei and Ms. Chen Daoying.

2. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Jian Yicong Arrested Recently

Mr. Jian Yicong was recently arrested. He is in the Jingyang District Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zheng Wangying Arrested

Ms. Zheng Wangying was arrested on the morning of July 6, 2011.

4. [Wulumuqi City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Ms. Wei Shufen Arrested

Ms. Wei Shufen lives in the Sanjian family compound at Qiantangjiang Road near Qiyijiangyuan in the Shayibake District. She was arrested on August 1, 2011 by officers from the Shayibake District Political and Judiciary Committee, along with officers from the Shayibake District Police Station and the Tianjie Police Station.

5. [Ningjin County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Dongshen Arrested

Mr. Li Dongshen, a resident of Nanqizhuang Village, Sizhilan Town, was arrested at home early in the morning of July 21, 2011 by agents from the Ningjin County 610 Office. He is currently in the Xingtai Brainwashing Center.

6. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] Ms. Lei Jinghua, Ms. Tang Yuzhen and Ms. Shi Xinhua Arrested

Six officers from the Chenxi County State Security Division arrested Ms. Lei Jinghua, Ms. Tang Yuzhen, and Ms. Shi Xinhua who live near the Yuanshui Bridge. They confiscated the practitioners' Falun Gong books. The three women were taken to the county police department and later transferred to the county detention center.

7. [Beijing] Mr. Hao Shuangqiu and Ms. Chen Mei Arrested

Mr. Hao Shuangqiu from Hunan Province and Ms. Chen Mei from Sichuan Province were arrested on the evening of July 28, 2011 at an appliance repair shop near the west gate of Qinghua University in the Haidian District, Beijing. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Qinglongqiao Police Station. Mr. Hao was handcuffed. The police confiscated two copies of Falun Gong books and computers.

8. [ Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Junyan Arrested

Ms. Wang Junyan, in her 50s, was arrested on July 16, 2011 by officers from the Donggang District 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Wang is currently in the Rizhao Detention Center. Her family is forbidden to visit her.

9. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yingjun Arrested

Ms. Sun Yingjun was arrested on July 26, 2011.

10. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Mingfang, Mr. Jiang Wentian and Mr. Yang Jingxin Had Their Homes Ransacked

Three officers from the Guocheng Town Police Station broke into homes of Ms. Jiang Mingfang, Mr. Jiang Wentian and Mr. Yang Jingxin at noon on July 27, 2011. They ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, the Minghui Weekly and informational materials.

11. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yuying and Ms. Liu Shufen Arrested

Ms. Sun Yuying was arrested on August 1, 2011 by officer Wang Gen and others from the Xinnong Police Station. She was taken to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center in Jilin City.

That same afternoon Ms. Liu Shufen was arrested at her workplace, the Jiaohe Hotel, and taken to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center.

12. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Circumstances of Ms. Liu Guangying - belated information -

Hualong Town Police Station officers arrested Ms. Liu Guangying at home in Hualongqiao Village on September 3, 2010. They confiscated Falun Gong books and a photograph of Master Li. Ms. Liu was incarcerated in the Shouguang City Brainwashing Center, where she was tortured while shackled to a metal chair. She was also slapped in the face with a book and verbally abused.

13. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Guizhen Harassed and Persecuted

Ms. Liu Guizhen teaches mathematics at No. 4 High School in Fujin City. Principal Wu Hongbo and deputy principal Wang Ze deceived her into coming to the school for an out-of-the-ordinary reason. The two principals collaborated with Bai Zhiqiang from the 610 Office and Lu Jiyong, deputy Party secretary from the Education Bureau in an attempt to arrest her. Ms. Liu jumped over a wall in an attempt to get away from her potential captors and injured herself. Lu Jiyong continues harassing Ms. Liu.

Ms. Liu Guizhen was previously subjected to forced labor twice. Her husband Mr. Han Lifeng was arrested twice and held in a detention center where he was beaten, kicked and tortured. Fujin City Police Department deputy head Yu Xinglu and Pei Xiaodong follow Ms. Liu's daughter. Police officer Sun Yilong detained their daughter for about eight hours. Ms. Liu's home was ransacked several times and all valuable belongings were stolen. In addition, the family was extorted for more than 50,000 yuan.
