(Clearwisdom.net) There have been a lot of recent rumors and discussion on the Internet about the death of Jiang Zemin, the former head of Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Jiang is responsible for starting the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. This is a popular topic for people in China, many of whom have eagerly spread and celebrated the rumors with firecrackers. In my understanding, the death of Jiang is a required step to completely eliminate the evil, strengthen the righteous field and save more people. As Dafa practitioners, we should handle this calmly and keep our hearts unmoved. We should continue to do the three things well, and use our time well to save sentient beings.
Regardless of whether Jiang is actually dead or not, his death is determined by the heavens. What I want to share here is that this rumor shouldn't trigger any attachments such as zealotry among practitioners.
We have all gone through so much in the Fa-rectification period. We have learned similar lessons in the past where we have become attached to the actions or stance of certain well-known people or the occurence of certain events. We should quickly identify and eliminate any potential attachments that may become loopholes for the old evil forces to take advantage of. We should be solid in assisting Master and saving sentient beings. Changes taking place in society, whether positive or negative, should not affect us or cause us to waver in our steadfast determination and righteous actions.
Jiang and the CCP colluded to launch the hideous persecution of Falun Gong, and the old forces are behind it all. We shouldn't expect the CCP to change with the death of Jiang. Nor should we be fooled by the "changes" advocated by its propaganda. The CCP has always poisoned the minds of the Chinese people and it will likely continue to do so because that is its nature.
Master taught us in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,"
"Absolutely don't think about any favors the old forces might do for us, or about how the ordinary society might help us. You are the ones saving the ordinary people's society, and you are the ones saving sentient beings!"
Master also said in "Greetings" published on September 28, 2004,
"Dafa disciples are walking a divine path. Don't be affected by shifts in the ordinary world, seize the day to clarify the truth, save the world's people, clean out the rotten demons, and keep your thoughts and actions righteous."
We should clearly understand our mission, ward off interference, and walk our path of righteously assisting Master in Fa-rectification.
There are still so many people poisoned by the evil CCP and so many people in the world waiting for us to bring them the truth and the chance for salvation. Saving sentient beings is perhaps more urgent now than it has ever been. We should seize the day with a clear main consciousness.
