(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 11 provinces. As per this report, 19 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wu’an City, Hebei Province] Couple Ms. Wang Aiying and Mr. Wang Hongliang Arrested

Wu'an City Police Department officials illegally arrested married couple Ms. Wang Aiying and Mr. Wang Hongliang on the morning of June 1, 2011 and sent them to the Wu'an City Detention Center. The officials also confiscated more than 10,000 yuan in cash, a computer, a printer, and other personal belongings. Ms. Wang has been on a protest hunger strike since.

2. [Chongqing] Mr. Yu Shulin Arrested

Mr. Yu Shulin is a practitioner from Shilin Village, Tiaodeng Town, Dadukou District, Chongqing. While selling goods at a farmers market on the morning of June 11, 2011, a group of unidentified agents arrested him. It is believed that Mr. Yu is being held at the Dadukou District Brainwashing Center.

3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mistreatment of Ms. Liu Fenglan

Ms. Liu Fenglan was selling goods in Jiazhuangzi Village, Zhengzhuangzi Town, Kaiping District, Tangshan City on the morning of May 31, 2011, when she gave someone a truth-clarification flyer. Kaiping District Police Department agent Wei Jingyi arrested her and took her to the police department. Wei went to her home that afternoon and extorted 2,000 yuan in cash from her family. Ms. Liu has since returned home.

4. [Yaitai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Cuixiang Sent to a Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Li Cuixiang is a resident of Beiguozi Village, Guanshui Town, Mouping District, Yantai City. While in Fanjiazhuang Village, Gaoling Town, Mouping District on April 11, 2011, someone reported her to the police, and Gaoling Town Police Station agents arrested her. Yantai City Forced Labor Camp Committee officials sentenced Ms. Li to one and a half years of forced labor on May 4, 2011. Ms. Li was sent to the Wangcun Women’s Forced Labor Camp on May 12.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Shaozhi and Ms. Pan Shumin Sent to a Forced Labor Camp

Yantai City Forced Labor Camp Committee officials sentenced Mouping District practitioners Ms. Song Shaozhi and Ms. Pan Shumin to one and a half years of forced labor in May 2011. These two practitioners have been sent to the Wangcun Women’s Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Song and Ms. Pan are residents of Xiaoweizi Village, Longquan Town, Mouping District. While clarifying the truth at a farmers market in April 2011, the police arrested both of them.

6. [Guangdong Province] Update Regarding the Whereabouts of Ms. Liao Lixin, Mr. Chen Shenghui, and Ms. Wen Chunru

It has now been confirmed that Mr. Chen Shenghui and Ms. Wen Chunru, who were arrested together with Mr. Xie Yujun, were sent to Meizhou Prison. Ms. Liao Lixin was sent to Guangzhou Women’s Prison.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Zhanwei Arrested by 610 Office Agents

When Qingdao Development Zone practitioner Mr. Wu Zhanwei distributed Shen Yun DVDs on the afternoon of June 11, 2011, someone reported him to the police. Agents from the development zone 610 Office arrested him.

8. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mistreatment of Ms. Fu Meiling

Ms. Fu Meiling was distributing truth-clarification DVDs in the Guangmingcheng Community in Yichun District on the morning of May 26, 2011, when Yichun Police Department officials arrested her. She was sent to the Wumahe Detention Center on May 27.

Ms. Fu appeared ill at the detention center on May 30, which an exam at the Yichun Hospital confirmed. Yichun Police Department officials nonetheless refused to release her. Ms. Fu was sentenced to two years of forced labor on June 11 and later sent to the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labor Camp.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xing Anmei Arrested

Someone reported Ms. Xing Anmei to the police as she distributed truth-clarification materials in Huanggu District on the evening of June 9, 2011. Xiaodong Police Station head Yang Guangwei and several police officers arrested her. Ms. Xing was sent to the Zaohua Detention Center the next evening.

10. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Qin and Two Sisters Arrested

Ms. Wang Qin, an employee of the Yonghong Equipment Factory in Tianshui City, and her two sisters, Ms. Wang Fang and Ms. Wang Li, were arrested on the evening of June 11, 2011. Their whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qiu Yan and Other Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Xianlu Police Station went to the rental apartment shared by Ms. Qiu Yan, Ms. Xiu Li, and Ms. Xiao Hong on the evening of June 10, arrested them, and took them to Xianlu Police Station. The agents also confiscated their computers, cell phones, and other personal belongings. These practitioners were sent to the Pi County Detention Center at around noon on June 12.

12. [Qian’an City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Caixia and Her Daughter-in-law Arrested

Ms. Wu Caixia is a resident of Tuoshang Village, Pengdianzi Town. Qian'an City Domestic Security Division agents ransacked her home on the morning of June 10. In addition to confiscating personal belongings including a computer, agents arrested Ms. Wu and her daughter-in-law and took them to the Qianan Detention Center, leaving a three-year-old child at home unattended. After her son hurried home from his workplace, he went with village officials to the Domestic Security Division, requesting the two women's release. However, the security division officials refused to meet with them.

13. [Chongqing] Mr. Tan Zongwei Threatened

Zhiping Town officials Chen Xiaoli and Du Gaojian went to Mr. Tan Zongwei’s home at around noon on March 3, 2011, demanding to know if he still practiced Falun Gong. When Mr. Tan said yes, they threatened him and took away a photo of Falun Gong's founder Master Li Hongzhi, along with several issues of Minghui Weekly.

14. [Shanxi Province] Ms. Qin Yali Detained at the Taiyuan City Police Department

Agents from the Taiyuan City Police Department and from the Xiaodian District Police Department arrested three practitioners, one each on three consecutive evenings, between June 7 and June 9. Two of the practitioners have since returned home, but 64-year-old Ms. Qin Yali is still detained.

15. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Jichang Arrested

Mr. Li Jichang, a practitioner from Lishui Town in Nanhai District, was arrested by 610 Office agents near a farmers market at around noon on June 8. He was sent to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center that same day.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Wei Arrested on the Afternoon of June 10 and Sent to the Xianlu Police Station

17. [Longhua County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Ying Harassed

When Ms. Liu Ying went to Beijing in March 2009, police identified her as a Falun Gong practitioner, and harassed her soon after she checked into a hotel room. Prior to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, agents from the Longhua County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division forced officials from Ms. Liu's workplace to confiscate her national ID card.

18. [Danyang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wu Xiuying Sent to the Zhenjiang City Detention Center

Police arrested Ms. Wu Xiuying on the afternoon of June 8, 2011 as she was picking up her granddaughter from kindergarten. She has been sent to the Zhenjiang City Detention Center.

19. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Farm 8501 Employee Mr. Yu Guorong Arrested

Deputy head of the Farm 8501 Police Department Lu Weibin, and several plainclothes agents went to practitioner Mr. Yu Guorong’s home on the morning of June 9, 2011. They arrested him and forced him into a police van without him wearing shoes or pants. Mr. Yu was immediately sent to the Jiansanjiang Brainwashing Center.

20. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Shang Sentenced to Ten Years of Imprisonment - Update -

Fengcheng City practitioner Ms. Chen Shang, about 30 years old, was arrested in Anshan City and later sent to the Liaoyang Detention Center. Having been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment, she was taken to Division 8 of Liaoning Province Women’s Prison in February 2009.

21. [Beijing] Mr. Zhao Haiying Missing For Over 10 Days

Mr. Zhao Haiying, a practitioner from the Tuanjiehu Community in Chaoyang District has been missing since the end of May. Both he and his wife had previously been sent to a forced labor camp.

22. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Hualin and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Hualin from Zhushan Town in Anren County and Ms. Li Jiaju and her husband from Yongxing County were arrested by 610 Office agents prior to June 12, 2011 and sent to the Beihu District Party School Brainwashing Center.

23. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Ms. Xu Xinying and Ms. Liu Xiaomin Facing Court Hearing

Ms. Xu Xinying and Ms. Liu Xiaomin, in their 40s and 30s respectively, were arrested together in August 2010 by agents from the Zhumadian City 610 Office and Domestic Security Division. They are currently held at the Zhumadian Detention Center and were scheduled for a court hearing on June 14.
