(Clearwisdom.net) I obtained the Fa in 1999. During the past 12 years, it is due to Master’s care that I have made it through to today. I appreciate Master and Dafa from the bottom of my heart!
In early 2002, the police ransacked my home and severely tortured me, forcing me to tell them the source of my Falun Dafa materials. A police officer threatened me, “You won't make it through this night, because we’ll beat you to death and then bury you.” Four officers stood around me, using a big, thick rope to strangle me. Using the same rope, they tied my hands behind my back. One officer stood behind me, holding the rope. The other three beat me. I was so badly beaten that I was unable to stand.
At that time, I had just studied Master’s lecture “Touring North America to Teach the Fa.” Facing the police, I was not afraid. After beating me, the police told me that they were going to shock me with electric batons. The police were shocking another practitioner in the adjoining room, and I could hear her screams. In the end, they didn’t shock me, but they did send me to a detention center. I don’t want to mention in detail how the police tortured me. What I would like to say here is that it was only by firmly believing in Dafa and due to Master’s care was I able to finally break through.
It is because of my attachments that I was persecuted. I had a competitive mentality and lust, which I didn’t recognize at that time. In addition, I didn’t completely deny the old forces. Although I said that I denied them, it was only words, because I didn't deny them in my mind or with my deeds. These were things that I was not yet mature on during that time.
Afterwards, I published on the Minghui website (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) the details of how I was persecuted in the police station, the detention center, and the labor camp. My thoughts at that time were to expose the evil and to stop the persecution in my local area. Because of these righteous thoughts, after the details were published, officials with the local Domestic Security Division went to my wife’s workplace and asked her, “Did your husband tell someone what happened?” They didn’t dare to face me directly.
Walking on My Path of Validating the Fa
After obtaining the Fa, I came to understand that it is a practitioner's responsibility to protect Dafa. Therefore, after the persecution started on July 20, 1999, I began to write letters to the hosts of China Central Television, explaining the truth about Falun Dafa. I always kept records of the names of the companies and addresses from TV programs and newspapers, and wrote letters explaining the facts about Falun Dafa to them. When I sent mail to those who carried out the persecution, I always wrote in a free space on the letter, “Do Not Persecute Practitioner....”
On the wall next to the doorway of the city courthouse was a metal plate where each director's schedule was posted. I wrote down their names and mailed informational materials to them. Soon the metal plate disappeared.
A practitioner told me that the post offices took out all the letters about Falun Dafa and threw them away. After hearing this, Master’s Fa came into my mind,
“Wherever there's a problem, that is where you need to clarify the truth and save people. Don't take a detour when you run into difficulties.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference”)
I thought to myself, “Why not send truth-clarifying materials to the post offices?” So I chose some well-directed materials and mailed them to the post offices. After a while, I wanted to check whether the post office would deliver truth-clarifying materials, so I wrote two letters. One was to my husband, the other one to my boss. Several days later, my husband had received the materials and so did my boss. When I persuaded my boss to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, he agreed readily.
Knowing that the post office was delivering truth-clarifying materials again, I collected many workers’ contact information from the Internet. After studying the Fa with my group, fellow practitioners and I made informational materials together and mailed them to people all over the country.
