(Clearwisdom.net) There is a drug addict in the forced labor
camp in Guizhou Province, China, who used to assist the guards to
persecute Falun Gong practitioners. However, after staying with
Falun Gong practitioners for a long time, she changed her mind
completely, and she started to help the practitioners. Not only
that, her mind was purified and she became a nice person. The
following are her own words.
I used to be a drug addict.I tried to get over my addiction to
drugs with my family's help, but I failed. In the spring of 2008, I
was held in the Guizhou Women's Forced Labor Camp, where I was
fortunate to meet a group of sincere and kind people. They were
Falun Gong practitioners, and they helped me to differentiate good
from evil and right from wrong.
In the camp, criminals like myself were directed to monitor a group
of good people. These people had made great contributions to
society, but they were slandered and accused of breaking the law by
the Chinese Communist Party. Moreover, they were monitored by
criminals, who used all kinds of brutal means to torture them. I
was one of those criminals. The practitioners were kicked, punched,
verbally abused, and slapped across the face.
The guards in the forced labor camp acted like gangsters. They
slapped practitioners across their faces and told us to not let
them sleep or drink water. In addition, a 20-year-old criminal
created a set of 30-minute “Spring-welcoming” exercises and forced
these practitioners to do it. The guards instructed these
practitioners to repeat “I am a criminal and I love the Communist
Party. I do not have the right to speak” as they did to do the
“Spring-welcoming” exercises. If they refused, the guards would put
a big soda bottle filled with water between their legs and paper on
their heads. The practitioners were forced to stand there with
their knees bent and arms stretched out straight. If they still
refused to do as they were told, the guards would curse them. The
guards had also composed several filthy songs and ordered the
practitioners to sing them.
I personally witnessed the guards direct us to gag Falun Gong
practitioner Ms. Cui with dirty, smelly socks. I felt guilty doing
something so immoral and illegal. It upset me, and I refused to
follow their orders. I had a lot of sympathy for these
practitioners and took every opportunity to help them.
The guards really hated me because I tried to help the
practitioners, so I was criticized and punished. However, the evil
will never win. Not only did I help these practitioners, my mind
was also purified and my heart was filled with righteousness. I
really appreciate these Falun Gong practitioners who taught me such
willpower, and now I have become a righteous person, too.
