Be it known that
Whereas
Falun Dafa practitioners follow the principle of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance and incorporate it into their daily lives; and,
Whereas,
Falun Dafa promotes the cultivation of body, mind and spirit and it embraces people of all ages and religious affiliations; and,
Whereas,
Falun Dafa practitioners in Austin are holding an early celebration of the official Falun Dafa Day, which falls on May 13;
Now, Therefore,
I, Lee Leffingwell, Mayor of the City of Austin, Texas, do hereby proclaim
May 6, 2011
as
The Falun Dafa Day Celebration
in Austin.
