(Clearwisdom.net) Some time ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) court system unlawfully sentenced two practitioners in my city to prison, one to three years and the other to five years. Another two practitioners had also been sentenced to the same terms of imprisonment. Comparing the two events, we found that the CCP changed their tactics in their persecution of Dafa practitioners. In the past they would usually try to avoid legal procedures and put practitioners into forced labor camps, but now they tend to put practitioners on covert trials and sentence them to imprisonment in secrecy. Such persecution cases are often reported on the Minghui website and other news briefs from various sources.
When reflecting on the persecution in our local area, some practitioners point out that we have not done well in exposing the illegal 610 Office; some think that we have not done enough sending righteous thoughts in close vicinity; and others suggest that we are still lacking in cultivation maturity. Many things like this are possible reasons. We are all looking within ourselves to see where we have not done well. We found an important issue: regarding the unlawful sentences, many practitioners feel there is not much we can do about it, or feel powerless or helpless, or do not know what to do or where to start. We have clarified the facts and kept up sending righteous thoughts, so why is it that we still cannot prevent such unlawful sentences? Faced with the persecution by the evil under their facade of “rule of law”, are we truly unable to do anything? Is it true that there is nothing we can do regarding the dirty tricks the evil CCP plays with the law? Certainly not!
Master has told us a number of times how to use the law to counter the evil, based on the Fa teachings. We have not studied the Fa well, have not kept up with the Fa-rectification requirements, and have failed to cultivate ourselves well and keep strong righteous thoughts on this issue. We have not paid enough attention to changing our old thoughts on how to use the legal system to counteract the persecution, nor have we paid enough attention to clarify the facts in this regard.
Master taught us the Fa principles a long time ago, and Minghui began publishing articles about this several years ago. Many practitioners in other locations have understood the Fa principles and have used the legal system to counteract the persecution, to clarify the facts and to rescue fellow practitioners, including hiring conscientious lawyers to defend practitioners. The mere emergence of upright lawyers is also arranged by Master, and in my opinion that is also a need in the progress of Fa-rectification. These lawyers are helping Dafa practitioners eliminate the evil persecution from the legal point of view. As to our geographical area, though, how many of us have realized this? How many of us have carefully read relevant legal publications and understood how to use law to counteract the persecution? How many of us have truly taken this as a responsibility and treated it as a part of cultivation? I’m afraid the number is very small. Only those who have actually participated in the rescue work and in drafting articles have treated this matter seriously.
It is not an exaggeration to say that the majority of practitioners, intentionally or unintentionally, think that this is something that should be taken care of by coordinators or those involved in a court case, and have not thought about how this relates to ourselves. Even less have they realized that using the law to counteract the persecution is every Dafa practitioner’s responsibility. Another thing is that we have failed to realize that this is also part of the cultivation process. Some practitioners understand that “the persecution is illegal and cultivation is legal,” but their understanding is only limited to this general concept and they are completely at a loss as to how to use the law to counter the persecution.
In my opinion, this is a big xinxing loophole for so many practitioners. Haven’t we missed an area of our cultivation? Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the success rate of rescue is very low, even though practitioners in various places have hired conscientious defense lawyers to represent them. We have not formed a strong field of righteous thoughts in this aspect to disintegrate the evil.
From the very beginning, the evil has been fabricating and finding excuses to “legalize” the persecution. From concocting brainwashing propaganda to fabricating cases and framing practitioners, everything they do is based on lies and deception. When their lies have been exposed one after another, their last trick to continue the persecution is to behave like hoodlums under the banner of the law. Then, isn’t it every Dafa practitioner’s responsibility to expose their dirty tactics?
Since the evil is using the legal system to deceive people and to continue the persecution, then we should make use of the CCP’s own laws to deter the evil, and to expose the CCP's true nature and its crimes, so as to stop the persecution and disintegrate the evil. In my opinion, we all have a responsibility for this. It is not a matter for a small number of coordinators and practitioners.
Fa-rectification has progressed to this point, and yet we still allow clowns in the human world, who are controlled by evil beings, to persecute Dafa practitioners by way of playing tricks with the law. This is an omission! When we have missed this area in our Fa-rectification cultivation, how can we eliminate the evil persecution?
Also, from the angle of solid cultivation, if we have failed to understand the evil tactics and see them clearly with the Fa, and if we don’t know how to expose them, refute them, and negate them, how could we stop the persecution and disintegrate the evil? How can we clarify the facts to people and help them to understand? Even the evildoers with a bit of legal knowledge think that many of us are muddle-headed and are easy to be bullied, so they become more unscrupulous and think they can easily get away with it. Isn’t this condoning the evil?
While Dafa practitioners learn about relevant laws and understand how the evil is using loopholes to carry out the persecution, we are also getting rid of our own unclear concepts that acknowledge the persecution, so that we can completely negate the persecution from the legal point of view. If we cannot fundamentally and clearly see the illegality of the persecution, then we may fall into the evildoers' traps and unwittingly think about this issue with degenerated concepts.
Master said in Zhuan Falun,
“...however many kinds of ailments there are, that’s how many abilities there are for healing them.”
The key thing is that we Dafa practitioners must study the Fa well, as Master instructs us, and pay attention to the actual effect in what we do, instead of just going through the motions. We must not ignore our responsibilities. When we all do well, the evil will destroy itself.
We are still far from what Master requires of us. In terms of fulfilling our responsibilities and historical mission, in understanding the Fa principles and being clear-headed, in keeping strong righteous thoughts in the face of persecution, and in having a broad mind and being responsible to the Fa, to fellow practitioners, and to sentient beings, we still fall short. Master is waiting for us to become more mature.
