The publishing of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in November 2004 started the unprecedented momentum of quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The Global Center for Quitting the CCP was thus launched. Then hotlines were set up in March 2005, and I was very fortunate to become one operator for the hotline. Since then, I have continued doing so. Here I would like to share my experience and understandings during this Fa-rectification period cultivation.
Following What Master Told Us
Master came to our city on April 20, 2006, and I was very fortunate to meet him. After hearing I was a volunteer hotline operator at the Global Center for Quitting the CCP, Master compassionately said to me, "This is very important. We have to do well in this battlefield." Before leaving, Master said this to me again. I deeply felt the importance of our responsibilities. As Dafa disciples, we have to follow Master's words. That is, we do what Master asked us to do. Since Master said this is an important battlefield to save sentient beings, we have to do it well.
The hotline to quit the CCP is a frontline in the battle to save sentient beings. Since the hotline was launched over five years ago, we have kept clarifying the truth and urging people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. This provides a channel for those who are unable to get online and quit the CCP. Moreover, this also serves as a help desk for those who want more information about quitting the CCP. When talking with someone over the phone, our first sentence is always, "This is the hotline of the Global Center for Quitting the CCP. Do you want to quit the CCP?" This sentence itself tells people about the momentum of quitting the CCP and provides them a chance to be saved.
Every day we received many phone calls from Chinese people in various places; most of them are in China. They are from almost all provinces, cities, counties, and towns and from all social levels in different professions. In the past, people in China were angry about many things, but they dared not to speak out about those things. Then the Nine Commentaries cleaned the dirty stains in their minds, and it disintegrated the party culture from their thoughts. Now, people not only dare to complain, but they also criticize or curse the CCP. Very often, when people called the hotline, they called aloud on the phone, "Down with the CCP! Heaven eliminates the CCP! Long live Falun Gong! Falun Dafa is good!"
Because the hotline is at the forefront, we have received a lot of feedback, suggestions, and requests from people. All this first-hand feedback and information was compiled together, and we provided them to media groups to produce various programs. Some practitioners suggested presenting these materials to people who still have not understood the importance of quitting the CCP or to governments who question the authenticity of the number of people who have declared to quit the CCP. We did so in this way, and it has worked very well.
Right now, many people know that it is Falun Gong practitioners who are asking people to quit the CCP. Some people have called the hotline to ask questions about Falun Gong: what Falun Gong is, what is the Tiananmen Self-Immolation incident, etc. Some of them wanted to buy Dafa books, were looking for the Nine Commentaries, or wanted to find practice sites. We know that all these people are sentient beings with predestined relationships, and we have to save them. Therefore, we took the opportunity to tell them the truth and urged them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Many people immediately agreed to quit.
The Battle Between Righteousness and Evil
The hotline is the forefront of the battle between righteousness and evil. Since the quitting the CCP momentum started after the Nine Commentaries were published, the greater the number of people who quit the CCP, the sooner the CCP will be disintegrated. Therefore, it is the CCP that is very scared. It is known that the CCP has considered the hotline a threat, and the CCP has made many attempts to harass or threaten me. Police and State Security Bureau agents from China have called several times. They directly verbalized that they knew my address, claiming they were going to send many special agents to the US to kill me and my family.
Because the old forces wants to destroy sentient beings, and we are saving sentient beings, the old forces used evil elements in other dimensions to attack my physical body.
After the hotline was launched, my teeth began to loosen and even fell out. One day when clarifying the truth over the telephone, I felt something in my mouth. It turned out to be two teeth. Recently my nose bled for no reason. On several occasions when sleeping at night, it was as if something dark was on my body. My heart beat quickly, and I had difficulty breathing. I immediately called aloud, "Master, please help me!" The interference disappeared immediately. I put both palms together in the Heshi gesture to thank Master.
Not long after the hotline was set up, I placed a single bed in the hotline room so that it was easier for me to receive phone calls. One day, right after I sat on the bed, the bed frame broke in the middle. I thus sat on the floor, crossed my legs, and told the evil in other dimensions, "I will never give up on this battlefield." Then I immediately sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate them, and I felt a warm current all over my body. With Master and the Fa helping us, what are we afraid of? We do not need to worry about it. You broke my bed frame. I will then put the mattress directly on the floor, and then I am still able to save sentient beings.
The CCP used mafia means to interfere and harass, attempting to stop the information flow on the quitting the CCP hotline.
Within one year after the hotline was launched, the number of incoming calls suddenly dropped, and it was impossible for someone to call us from Mainland China. It was later proven that the CCP blocked the phone line. We realized that the blockage of the phone line in this dimension is a superficial appearance, while the evil in other dimensions is the real reason. Then we sent forth righteous thoughts to oppose all arrangements by the old forces, and to eliminate all vicious elements that interfere with the hotline. We also sent forth righteous thoughts more often with increased duration. In addition, we looked within and found our attachment to accomplishing more rather than fully understanding the importance of the hotline for the Fa. Therefore, I began to study the Fa more. Soon afterwards, the blocked phone number was working again. To avoid losses in saving sentient beings, we added another phone line. Both of the them are now working smoothly.
In 2008 the CCP instigated some thugs to stir up problems at the quitting center in Flushing, NY. At the same time, it also interfered with our phone hotline. The CCP hired some overseas Chinese, who either have been in US for a long time or were students who came for study. Because these people did not know the truth, they took turns to call in, swear at us, harass us, or simply occupy the line so that others could not dial in. It even manipulated the some bad people to damage the connection between the phone company and the hotline. All these efforts were made to stop people from being saved.
Because the CCP is very scared of the hotline, it used specially trained secret agents to connect our hotline, other hotlines, my home phone and fellow practitioners' cell phones together with their central network to monitor and threaten me.
For a while, practitioners in China and overseas called saying that once they dialed the hotline, they could hear a recorded voice mail saying, "This number is no longer in service. Please do not call this number again." Sometimes, the call disconnected right after one ring tone. We realized this was interference caused by the CCP. Thus, we exposed this through The Epoch Times, fax team, and other media outlets. By forming one-body and establishing a righteous field, the interference was soon eliminated. All attempts by the evil to damage the hotline were ended in vain, because we are Dafa disciples.
Saving Sentient Beings with Compassion
During the past several years, many means of truth-clarification and spreading the Nine Commentaries have been utilized: through friends, truth-clarification pamphlets, faxing, short words on the RMB, via DVD, flyers, short messages over the cell phone, on the Internet, etc. People gradually heard about the Nine Commentaries and came to understand that only by quitting the CCP could one have a safe and wonderful future. This information has been spread to everywhere in China, from the top government officials to ordinary people.
A woman in a rural place in Hunan Province called the hotline. She said she walked more than 30 kilometers (20 miles) before she could find a place to make an international phone call. She provided a list of 16 people's names in her area who declared to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
A provincial official in charge of propaganda called saying that, because of the nature of his work, he had heard lots of the truth through overseas TV, radio, and the Internet. He even gave us several suggestions for our truth-clarification. He said, "On the issue of live organ-harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, it is not enough to just provide the news report. It is better to include more facts and evidence. Moreover, you can send more short messages to cell phones in China, since nearly everyone has a cell phone now." This was indeed very helpful advice.
One official in the CCP central government division called us. He said everyone in his office had read the truth in the Nine Commentaries about the so-called Tiananmen Self-immolation incident as well as about the live organ-harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. All of them were shocked and were very angry. He said, "Through discussion, everyone in our office--a total of eight people--agreed to quit the CCP and no longer sink with it. On behalf of our office, now I will give you all the eight people's real names."
A police officer in Anhui Province called the hotline. He said that the deputy head of his department, who was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, was elected as a model officer right before the Chinese New Year. That officer then suddenly felt pain all over his body and could not control himself due to a mental disorder. Therefore, that officer jumped out of his home on the third floor and died. This shocked many people. The person who called the hotline confessed that he had also committed some bad deeds in the past. Now he has realized that good is rewarded with good and evil meets with evil. He further said, "In the past, I have read many truth-clarification materials, including the Nine Commentaries. Instead of following the CCP any longer, I have decided to have a new beginning. Therefore, my whole family, which includes me, my wife, and two children, has agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations." He also said he was grateful since the Global Center for Quitting the CCP gave him an opportunity to have a new beginning.
One day in early May 2006, I received a phone call. That person said in a criticizing tone, "Where are you? I am a secretary working for a CCP Central Government officer in Zhongnanhai. How dare you send materials here? Where did you get the phone number?" I told him seriously, "This is the hotline of the Global Center for Quitting the CCP. Do you want to quit the CCP? I can help you with it." He paused and said furiously, "If you were in China, we would have arrested you already." I replied, "I know, because the CCP promotes brutality, and there is no democracy." He raised his voice, "What is your address? We can talk about it later." I said, "Sir, the most important thing right now is to have a safe future. Heaven will eliminate the CCP soon. Only by quitting the CCP and no longer doing bad deeds can one have a safe future." He went silent and later hung up the phone. Our fellow practitioners are really great; they sent truth-clarification materials to the CCP's den--Zhongnanhai.
Only by Cultivating Ourselves Well Can We Save More Sentient Beings
This hotline for quitting the CCP is at the forefront for saving sentient beings. In order to do well on this battlefield, we have to study the Fa well. In "Be More Diligent", Master said, "A Dafa disciple's righteous thoughts stem from the Fa". Every day, no matter how tired, we have to study the Fa well and rectify ourselves using the Fa. Only then can we maintain a peaceful mind and a righteous field. Only then can we save sentient beings.
Master also said in "Walk Straight Your Path", "In fact, making progress in one's own cultivation is a part of the process of saving beings."
There are various tests and interferences during cultivation. Regardless of what happens, we have to keep in mind that we are practitioners and we have to place saving sentient beings as the highest priority. After the quitting the CCP momentum started, in the beginning not everyone understood this well, and some still had questions. We have encountered such people over the hotline; some of them were irrational and cursed at us. Sometimes I was disturbed by this, and various human notions arose in me, including hatred, attachment to fear, and other negative feelings. In addition, during the process of helping people quit the CCP, it was very easy to be attached to the numbers of those who quit the CCP: feeling happy when the number increased quickly, and feeling sad when the number increased slowly. In fact, all these are attachments and human notions.
We have to rectify ourselves in order to do well in saving sentient beings. When calming down to study the Fa more, and constantly purify our minds, many things will change. In fact, those people poisoned by the CCP are very pitiful, since they are indeed victims of the CCP's persecution. Therefore we need to clarify truth to them with patience. Since they dialed in to this hotline, that means they have predestined relationships even if they called in to interfere. In "Lecture Five" in Zhuan Falun, Master said,
"I am a person who dislikes fighting with others, and neither was it worth a fight with him. Whenever he brought some bad things upon me, I would just clear them up. Afterwards, I would resume my lecturing."
Yes, we have to eliminate the inference with righteous thoughts.
In addition, we often received phone calls from various places in China. They wanted to express their gratitude towards Master, the authors of the Nine Commentaries, and the volunteer hotline operators.
Master's teachings and people's trust and support made us better understand the importance of the hotline. Let us all be more diligent so that more sentient beings can have a wonderful future.
