(Clearwisdom.net) My husband and I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. During the past ten years, my husband has been arrested, detained and taken to a brainwashing center several times. I was fired from my job, put under house arrest and lost my income. Despite all the hardship due to the persecution our belief in Falun Dafa and Master Li Hongzhi remained strong and could not be shaken, nor did it stop our determination and confidence to do the three things.
Trying to Awaken People whose Minds Were Poisoned
One of my former classmate's husband serves in the city committee. Both of them are county-level cadres. Their daughter works in a college. Their son-in-law works as a civil servant in the government. Their living conditions are very good. They have cars and live in luxury. They feel that they have achieved much and live a wonderful life.
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) embarked on its persecution of Falun Gong, we met in front of a store. After saying Hi, I said, "I am doing fine because I am practicing Falun Gong." She immediately interrupted me and shouted, "Are you still practicing? What's wrong with you?"
One night, a few years later, she came to my home for some business. After she had done her part, I began to talk about Falun Gong. She responded with a hand wave and shouted loudly, "Shut up! On the issue of Falun Gong, nothing can enter my ears!" Her mind was deeply poisoned by the CCP propaganda. I was very calm at the time, but held only one thought, "I must save her." I smiled and said, "You are righteous, warm-hearted and always help others. You are really a good person among ordinary people. Nowadays, human morality has been slipping down a thousand miles a day because of atheism. Mankind is faced with large calamities and punishment, which was predicted by prophets both in China and abroad. You are a righteous person of good virtue and kind heart, so you should escape the calamities. If you lose your life, what does your wealth, house, car, title and high salary account for?"
She said nothing. I asked her: "Do you know why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong?" She asked "Why?" "Because there are so many people practicing Falun Gong. Why so many people? Because Falun Gong is good! Especially, many CCP members, senior intellectuals, military generals and leading cadres of the central authorities are practicing Falun Gong. Falun Gong is not only beneficial in curing illnesses and free of charge, but it is the Buddha Fa that is disseminated to save people. "
I then said, "Falun Gong is not an ordinary qigong, but a spiritual practice that is spread to save people. People nowadays are only interested in their personal welfare and only go after profit or fame. Only Falun Gong practitioners are following their Master to save people and are not interested in profit or fame, even though they suffer under this persecution." Then, I talked about Falun Dafa's miracles, the fake Tian'anmen self-immolation incident, Falun Dafa being spread widely throughout the world, the persecution of practitioners, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, the unstoppable movement of people withdrawing from the CCP, and so on.
She left my home very late that night. When I opened the door for her, she hugged me tightly. I understood her feeling. She felt sad and ridiculous for having been deceived so deeply by the CCP. She felt remorseful for having refused again and again to listen to the truth. She felt guilty for her irrational and rude behavior and I felt happy that she finally understood the facts about Falun Gong. She felt grateful and respectful towards Master Li and Falun Dafa and she also admired practitioners. There were so many thoughts racing through her mind.
The happy outcome was that she not only quit the CCP, but also started practicing Falun Dafa.
Clarifying the Truth to the City Committee Cadres
One of my husband's superiors protected my husband in 1999 when the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong. At that time, my husband was the only Falun Gong practitioner at his workplace. Later, that individual was advanced to work in the City Committee. In 2008, I took a Shen Yun Performing Arts Company DVD to his office. He was surprised: "Why are you here?" I said: "I was running errands and passing by, so I came in to see you." I gave him the DVD. He asked: "What's this?" As he took out the introduction and read "Shen Yun is produced by Falun Gong artists ...," he turned rather serious and said: "What are you doing with this? What on earth are you going to do?" I said: "This show has impressed the whole world. It's about Chinese traditional culture. " He murmured, "What traditional culture?" then he threw the DVD back to me, his face serious and scared.
My heart was startled, but I quickly calmed down. As I put the DVD into my handbag, I said earnestly, "I came here today not because you are a leader, but because you protected my husband when practitioners were persecuted. We owe you. I came to see you because of this." He said, still maintaining a serious countenance, "What do you mean? What should I do." I responded, "I also worked very hard. However, after the persecution started, my superiors fired me out of fear of being incriminated. I lost my income and was put under house arrest. My husband was so fortunate to work for you. We are retired and can't do anything for you, so we can only reward you in our own way."
He said nothing and I continued, "Morality is sliding down at a fast pace. My husband and I worry about you. You know about the bird flu. If a chicken gets bird flu, all chickens in an area within 500 meters will be buried alive. Why? Because the infection is devastating. When disasters and plagues arrive, please remember that 'Falun Dafa is good', and no harm will befall you. Falun Gong is the Buddha Fa. We believe in Buddha. Atheism is advocated by the Communist Party. In fact, no matter whether you believe in the existence of divine beings, they do exist."
I continued to talk to him and spoke of the corruption within the Communist Party and how the CCP persecuted so many good people during its many political movements. This was all against heaven's will. It's a heavenly principle that good is rewarded with good and evil meets with retribution. If humankind does not do something about it, heaven will. However, when heaven does something about it, you don't have to be affected. When you joined the CCP, you swore an oath to give your life for it. That was not right. You will be affected. Withdraw and gain a bright future. "
He listened and remained silent, so I continued, "You my use a pseudonym. Please be assured and trust me. I will not tell anyone about it. I have already prepared a name for you. You're righteous and honest. I hope you will be free of calamity and safe from harm. Just use the name Zheng Ping (Zheng, Chinese pinyin for word righteous; Ping, Chinese pinyin for word safe)."
He broke his icy countenance and smiled. I went on saying, "Please keep the name in mind: Zheng Ping." He repeated the name with a smile: "Zheng Ping."
I immediately stood up and said: "I am leaving."
Just before walking down the stairs, I looked back and saw him standing there, watching me and smiling. I also smiled and waved farewell to him.
I always keep in mind the three things that Master Li Hongzhi told us. I tell people the facts about Falun Gong wherever I go. I try my best to persuade people to quit the CCP. If they hesitate, I will speak about Falun Gong and the persecution. I pay close attention to my behavior and validate the Fa with my words and actions.
If the person doesn't believe my sincere words, I'll say, "It does not matter if you don't believe it at this time, but please remember the words I told you. In case of danger, you will think of it. If in your heart you believe 'Falun Dafa is Good, you will be safe."
