Spreading the Facts and Strengthening Our Righteous Thoughts to Resist the Persecution of Fellow Practitioner Qu Jianguo
(Clearwisdom.net) After the article "High School Student Survives Bone Cancer after Practicing Falun Gong," which tells the story of Mr. Qu Jianguo who almost died of bone cancer but miraculously recovered after practicing Falun Gong, was published and distributed all over Laishui County, people throughout the county were really shocked.
Personnel from every level of the 610 Office, public security, and relevant government departments from Baoding City, Laishui County, descended upon Qu Jianguo and tried to force him to declare that he did not recover as a result of practicing Falun Gong.
This March, an official from our town came to my home and asked me who had written and posted the story about Qu Jianguo on the Internet. I said, "I've no idea," and asked why he inquired. Was it to congratulate Qu Jianguo on his recovery or to persecute him and the practitioners who posted the article? The officer said, "Our government does not allow people to practice Falun Gong."
I said to him, "Wouldn't you officials all like your children to be healthy? Qu Jianguo had bone cancer and was dying. Practicing Falun Gong saved him. Shouldn't you feel glad about that? His story was published on the Internet, which made it possible for more people to know that Falun Gong is great. More and more people will start practicing Falun Gong for their health. That is a good thing for any country. The government should be happy and thank Falun Gong, so you should tell all levels of government to stop persecuting Falun Gong and its practitioners."
The official listened, said nothing, and left.
Recently, several residents of Laishui County traveled to Hong Kong and came across the article about Qu Jianguo. After returning, they asked local practitioners to verify the story. Having heard the Chinese officials' lies about Qu Jianguo, they were shocked to learn the real story. Some of them even started to practice Falun Gong.
