Visiting Practitioners in Orange Township, Part 2

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, following up on information received from fellow practitioners, I went to a town that was in the midst of many large orange groves. Practitioners from that area spoke of their experiences. I was deeply moved by how and what they did in validating the Fa. I wish to share some of the stories these practitioners told me.

1. Improving as One Body

My husband, son and daughter-in-law are practitioners and we have opened our home to fellow practitioners for Fa study, practicing the exercises and sharing thoughts.

My husband was the first among us to cultivate in Dafa. A long time ago, he suffered a stroke and despite seeing many doctors he did not get better. One day, someone came to our village to spread Falun Gong. He immediately was drawn to it, and borrowed Zhuan Falun. Within a few days the effects of the stroke had disappeared. He became a firm practitioner. Then, my son read Zhuan Falun and was reluctant to put it aside. Although they had to return Zhuan Falun, they said even if the book cost 10,000 yuan they would buy it. My husband searched for the book everywhere and was not successful. Finally he found a Falun Gong practice site in another town and the practitioners, noting that he truly wanted to practice, brought Falun Dafa books, Teacher's videotapes and video recorders to our village.

Everyone in our village came to our house to listen to Teacher's lectures and learned the five sets of exercise. We were more than sixty people studying the Fa and doing the exercises at my home. Daily, from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m., we did exercises one to four and in the evening we read Zhuan Falun and did exercise five.

My husband spread the practice wherever he went. He told people of the benefits he had derived from the practice and asked them to remember the Falun Dafa principles "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Even our village officials suggested that everyone practice Falun Gong after my husband's introduced it at a village meeting.

That time was wonderful. Our family was in good health, and our home filled with harmony and happiness.

Alas, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began the persecution of Falun Gong and its practitioners in July 1999. One day, the party secretary of our County Political and Legal Committee and some officers' came to my house. They asked about the number of practitioners in our village and ordered them to turn in the Falun Dafa books. They fingerprinted everyone. I was so fearful that I turned in all Falun Dafa books except Zhuan Falun and we refused to be fingerprinted. When forced to commit our understanding of Dafa to paper, my husband wrote about the benefits he derived from practicing it. My son wrote that his character improved after practicing Falun Gong.

Before the 2000 Chinese New Year, a practitioner from another area came to my home and gave us Teacher's new poem "Self-Evident is the Heart." (Hong Yin Volume II, Translation Version A) My son made many copies for practitioners in our village. Then, my husband looked for Falun Dafa materials and came home with a truth-clarifying letter. He made many copies. My husband and son put them in envelopes and sent them to town, district, county and other official. Someone at the post office reported them and we were warned that officers from the Public Security Bureau would come and ransack our home. We hid our Falun Dafa books in our fruit garden. The police came, searched and found nothing. But, they took my son's notebooks and matched the handwriting to those on the envelopes. They insisted that my son had written them, but only took his father to the local police station. He returned home that same evening.

From that time onwards the police harassed us every three to five days and ransacked our home. Our house was monitored by plainclothes police or neighbors. My son was detained for fifteen days and taken to a brainwashing class. He finally wrote the Guarantee Statement guaranteeing to renounce the practice. Due to constant pressure and holding fear, we gradually strayed from Dafa. Only my husband insisted on studying the Fa, doing the exercises and clarifying the truth.

In 2005, my husband suddenly had another stroke and passed away. We all were in shock. This made us revaluate this persecution and its effect on us. We realized that it was because we had stopped practicing. The evil took advantage of our loophole and persecuted my husband.

After realizing our omissions, my son, daughter-in-law and I stepped again into Dafa and we decided that we would be responsible Dafa practitioners. My son and daughter-in-law worked hard at home and on our farm. I met with some elderly practitioners and began to distribute materials about Falun Gong, in an effort to clear up misconceptions about Falun Dafa. We live in a remote area and truth-clarifying materials were difficult to get. We studied the Fa diligently and shared experiences in an effort to improve as one body.

My son and his wife also clarified the facts about Falun Gong and distributed materials about the practice. They first played the CDs about the practice and then told them about the persecution. We sent righteous thoughts to clear our area of evil beings. All beings came to this world for the Fa. We practitioners' are responsible to introduce, make them understand and acknowledge Dafa.

We, as a family cooperated well with each other. My son and his wife learned to use a computer. We bought a printer and produced Falun Gong materials. We became one body and no evil could block us.

2. Falun Dafa Is Powerful and Boundless

One day in 1998, my elder daughter-in-law introduced Falun Dafa to me. The next day, I went to a mountain close to my home for fetch grass. I felt something in my body and hand that was very different to what I had experienced in the past. Therefore, I thought that Dafa must be extraordinary. Then, I started to practice Falun Gong. In a short time , I became healthy, I no longer had headaches, which were very painful. I worked to be a genuine practitioner and live by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and treated everyone kindly. My husband, daughter and son supported me. I also spread the Fa to people in our village and many became practitioners. I invited everyone to come to my home to do the exercises and study the Fa. I kept in mind what Teacher said: "The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." (Zhuan Falun)

Once the CCP started to persecute Falun Dafa in 1999, several county officials came to our village. I was told about it, informed fellow practitioners and put everyone's books into a hiding place. Then, they came to my home. I handed in one book symbolically and other practitioners were not interfered with. Now, I realize that this was not the right thing to do. But, we were no longer bothered by anyone. However, we had lost the environment to practice and study the Fa together, and gradually we became like ordinary people again. I regretted it and felt ashamed. A few years ago, when I received Teacher's new articles I awoke from my slumber and realized that I had gone down a wrong path. I was grateful to Teacher for saying that before the end there are still opportunities for those who have not done well in validating the Fa.

At that time, we did not have a Falun Dafa material site in our village and I had to get Teacher's new articles and truth-clarifying materials from other villages. Once, in the evening it looked as if it was going to rain heavily, but I declined to stay at a fellow practitioner's home, and ran fast with the materials on my back. I felt as if I was flying. There was thunder and lightning and it did not rain until I met up with my son who was looking for me. As soon as I was under the umbrella, it began to pour. I realized that Teacher was protecting me and the materials from the rain. My face was bathed in tears.

Sentient beings are waiting for the truth-clarifying materials. We Dafa practitioners are responsible for distributing them. In the beginning we went in pairs to other villages, and then after some time we split up and each of us went to a village to distribute the materials. I covered almost all the surrounding villages.

My family supported me, especially my husband, who also contributed a lot. He often accompanied me to distribute the truth-clarifying materials into the night. When I posted the self-adhesive posters, he provided the light and made sure that everything was put up correctly. He also took me on his motorcycle to villages to clarify the facts.

My family was blessed for supporting Dafa. One time my son drove a motorcycle on a mountain road. I saw him crashing and was terrified. I quickly ran down the mountain and he was fine and had just a few scrapes. But the motorcycle seemed to be broken. I looked at it, sent righteous thoughts and and said, "You must start!" Then, my son tried again and it started.

Last year, most of the pigs in our village were infected with foot and mouth disease. Yet, the pigs owned by practitioners were fine. My pigs were in close proximity to pigs that died and were fine. Our village witnessed the miracle of Dafa.

I was successful in setting up a truth-clarifying material production site in my home. In the beginning, when something went wrong, I took it to fellow practitioners and then for repair, which took a lot of time and was rather expensive. Later, when there were problems, I looked within to find loopholes, and sent righteous thoughts to eliminate them. Most problems disappeared.

I found that sentient beings, once we clarified the facts about Falun Gong to them, changed a lot. They became positive towards Dafa. They will have a beautiful future and even received blessings in their current lives. I witnessed that the "The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." (Zhuan Falun) As a practitioner, I know how important my responsibility is and will cultivate more diligently to save more sentient beings.
