(Clearwisdom.net) Amid rapturous applause and standing ovation, Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company concluded its first-ever show in Ireland on March 28, 2010, at Dublin's Grand Canal Theatre.

Also in the audience was Dr. Declan Lyons, a local university clinical psychiatry lecturer and his wife, Maria Frampton.

"I am a delighted guest and audience member of the Shen Yun show tonight." Dr. Lyons said.

"The visual extravaganza of Chinese culture and the incredible array of colour, dance, song and music, absolutely takes your breath away. So I am very much delighted to be here," he said.

Dr. Lyons took special delight in the 40-plus-member orchestra, saying, "I very much enjoyed the music ... the synchronization between the dance and the music was amazing!"

Also there to enjoy the Shen Yun performance was Mr. Declan Waters, the chairman of Prolife-Humanlife, and his wife, Carmel and their daughter, Abigail.

"I found the show fantastic. It was spectacular," he said.

Mr. Waters' overall impression of the show was that it was "spectacular!" "Costumes, choreography, absolutely everything about it. I wouldn't fault it in any way. I would recommend it to anybody."

Watching the show helped Mr. Walters and his family learn more about China.

"It told us a lot about China; we learned a lot about it and we understand it better, the people and everything about them. There were a lot of things. I've never seen anything like it. They explained a lot about China, the Chinese people, the country ... I mean everything was in there, absolutely everything," he concluded.

Dignitaries send well wishes to Shen Yun Performing Arts

Ms. Emer Costello, Dublin's Lord Mayor, wrote, "I welcome Shen Yun Performing Arts to Dublin. Dublin is a city that values culture and the arts ... I wish Shen Yun Performing Arts a warm Dublin welcome and hope that they enjoy the time they will spend in our city."

Senator Joe O'Toole: "It is a real honour and a privilege to welcome Shen Yun to Ireland, for the first time."

Senator David Norris said, "As a Dubliner I am delighted to welcome Shen Yun Performing Arts to this great European city which has given so much to the culture of the world especially in literary terms. I have seen video recordings of some of their programme and the elegance and brilliance of the dance is quite remarkable. I am sure they will be greatly appreciated by the Irish public."
