(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Chunyan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Anlu, Hubei, operated a small business in Rugao City, Jiangsu Province. At around 7 p.m. on September 19, 2009, she was taken into custody by officers from the Nantong City and Rugao City police departments. Her husband and her son, who were later released, were also apprehended. She was illegally detained in the Rugao City Detention Center and has now been there for over six months. It was said that she was detained because she used mobile text messaging to clarify the facts about Falun Gong and was monitored by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
In December 2009, Ms. Liu's case was submitted to the prosecution department of Rugao City, but due to weak evidence, her case was dismissed. She was supposed to be released unconditionally given the circumstances, but CCP officials have refused to let her go and are keeping her in the Rugao Detention Center.
Fearing for her daughter's health, Ms. Liu's mother, over 70 years old, traveled a long way from Hubei Province to Rugao City in Jiangsu Province at the end of last year to request her daughter's release, but returned empty handed. While she was there, the Rugao Police Department evaded her questions, refused her request, photographed and intimidated her, and hustled her away.
Before practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Liu suffered serious renal failure, and both of her kidneys were almost dysfunctional. She also suffered from uremia. After she practiced Falun Gong, all her diseases miraculously disappeared. X-rays of her kidneys showed a clear outline with no indication of renal failure. After the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Anlu City Police Department officers approached Ms. Liu and ordered her to stop practicing Falun Gong. She showed to the police the X-rays of her kidneys before and after her practicing Falun Gong. The vivid contrast left them speechless.
Falun Gong saved Ms. Liu Chunyan's life and those of her family members. She understood that all these miracles took place due to her practicing Falun Dafa, so she conducted herself according to Falun Dafa's standard of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She has endeavored to tell the public about the goodness of Falun Dafa and has clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa so that people can see through the CCP's lies and make a wise choice for a good future for themselves.
