MONTREAL--Shen Yun Performing Arts staged the first of four shows at Place des Arts on Friday and warmed the hearts of the audience with the beauty of five millennia of Chinese culture.

Roger Pomerleau, a Member of Parliament for Quebec, and his wife attended the Friday night performance and both were delighted by the experience. They shared their thoughts during the intermission.

"The show was very very very good. It is not finished yet. We are going to see the second part. I love the presentation of the people, the music, the colours and the theme. Not very often we are used to hear about the divine or spiritual things in a show. This is amazing ... we appreciate it," said Mr. Pomerleau, whose first language is French.

He said the movement, colour and theme of the show all come together for an immediate impression that the show is very special.

"A very special show, really, it is really impressive, that is what we love."

He added that there was a humour he quite enjoyed and that the music was "absolutely beautiful."

"Really good presentation. I think people should see this show," he continued, adding that he would return next year for sure.

"Fantastic, really--to be seen."

Speaking in French and English, Mrs. Pomerleau also exclaimed her appreciation for Shen Yun.

"It was very wonderful, very good. C'est magnifique, C'est captivant. (It's magnificent, It's enchanting)."

She said the show made her happy and she will definitely return next year.

"Merveilleux, fantastique."
